If you play guitar like me, chances are big you end up with a lot of guitar pedals. With these pedals, you modify the sound of your guitar: add distortion, delay, weird effects, ... Really cool!
OK, so now you have some pedals, and it's time to play songs with their own unique sounds, created with those pedals! But...
Every song has different pedal-settings... So after a while, you lose track which pedal has which settings for a specific song :-(
So, I created an MVP to solve this problem. A tool where you can:
(Note: you can add gear, but also the specific knobs, sliders, ... to that gear. Since there is no public database available for this, I'm counting on the users to add gear with their knobs. This way, all together, we are creating a unique database! I'll currently be in charge of verifying this gear...)
For now, it's a web application. If I get some users, of course i'll create a mobile application.
Any guitar players (or music lovers in general) out there? Please check it out and drop some feedback!
Thanks!
Hi @pellens!
Cool idea! Now that I own a Helix, it's not really a problem for me anymore, but I'll provide some feedback anyway since I've used a traditional amp & pedal setup for many years.
I don't know if a web app is the way to go, but if you were to wrap this into an App, I think there's something to it. I know many guitar players who tour with an iPad, so they might find this useful. However, most of them just dial in their sound and don't fiddle around with their settings mid-gig. But maybe your app will change that if you make it easy and fast enough for them to do it mid-gig!
The interface seems easy enough but I wasn't able to find any of my gear. For starters, there weren't any hits for "Marshall". I also couldn't find my pedals, so I couldn't move forward using this version of the app.
Nope, see above.
I think you should think about a mobile app and especially optimize for mid-gig search. So, big buttons, presets, set lists, etc.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
Hi Twan, thanks for testing out!
You couldn't find the Marshall, because it has not been created yet... That's what I mean with:
Thank you very much!
