web site

I want to open a website. The website is about betting, but it is illegal in my country. Is it possible to open this website hiding my identity? They should not be able to access the information that I have opened my website. Can I open it with VPN etc.?

I'm very much not a lawyer or expert, but very broadly speaking, you'll often find yourself in more trouble for hiding crime, since it clearly documents the intent to break the law and creates more points of failure. You're probably better off setting up a company and the website in a country where the activity is legal. Then, the operation of the company is entirely legal and you aren't violating any laws in the jurisdiction you need to live in.

Many of the large betting sites people use in the UK are based in Gibraltar and Malta. You can set up a company there using the Brave browser to VPN via the TOR network, No doubt some of your countrymen do that to bet with them.

What have you got to add?

You should post that in 'Legal, Tax, & Accounting'
