Website Uptime Monitor - Would love some data / feedback

Hey everyone,

I just opened up for my new application https://silentdown.com, which is a website uptime & performance monitor. In a few words, it pings your website / ip all the way down to 1-minute intervals and notifying you of any issues right away.

I think a lot of users in here own websites, so why not go ahead and sign up for free, add your projects and give me some "yummy" data to analyze on ;-)

I would of course also love feature requests, bug reports and ideas.

Have a great day

We use Cloudflare for our sites. They provide DDoS, CDN, SSL, Analytics,..... and up time monitoring for free.

May I know why I need to use an another service ?

      Hi horisontech.

Silent Down and Cloudflare are not competitors. And while I do like cloudflare, I wouldn’t recommend it for most businesses that has larger platforms. More control over your cdn, cache, ssl etc is the way to go in my opinion.

Some reasons you can easily read here: https://tech.tiq.cc/2016/01/why-you-shouldnt-use-cloudflare/

But opinions aside, silent down is without a doubt easier to use for this specific feature of monitoring, and if we go down, you won’t ;-)

      And it’s also free.

Also, my website (https://api.feedfront.me/v1/site/feedback/) is online but it shows it is offline

Hi Heyarviind. I see, that is quite odd. I checked your url with multiple other HTTP status code checkers, and some report your URL as 405 Method Not Allowed, and others 200 OK.

Do you have some kinda protection set up around your endpoint, that would reject certain requests?

    Hello,

When visiting your website the first time, I didn't notice that there was already a field where I could enter a website to see if it's online or not.

I scrolled down, and asked myself, where is the field, maybe they should add a field, where I can just enter my website.

When scrolling up, I noticed the field, kind of blended in between the rest.

    I don't know why I didn't see it at first :/

Thanks for checking. I agree, that field needs to be more visible. Quite important ;)

Thanks for your time to check. Yes several have reported this. I think im gonna completely rewamp our email designs, to have simpler content, and see what we can do with our sending reputation.

      Thanks

Alright, i have pushed an update to emails, lowering our "spam" score by quite a bit. We did a test with mail-tester, and got a 9.9/100 score. Thanks for your input
