What are Color Systems?

Hi everyone,

I just wrote a blog post about color systems. For folks starting businesses, color systems/models can be super confusing! It's really frustrating and costly if you use the wrong ones. I thought I can share this here in case anyone needs a super quick, extremely simplified overview.

on Printed items (like stationery, stickers, etc), some common ones are:

  • CMYK
  • Pantone

In digital screens (like web, social media graphics), some common ones are:

  • RGB/HEX
  • HSL

I write more in detail about each one here:

It can be paintful when the design is in RGB, but client says it needs to be in printed posters and leaflets. I designed a logo and came across such situation. :(
