Early days, but documenting progress on Twitter and got an early access sign on homepage.
Hey Scott!
Where did you get the topology pattern? Looks really neat.
Also your demo is really slick and has a great flow
Hey @makr - Just grabbed it from https://www.heropatterns.com - It looked cool so thought why not 😂 Thinking about offering a pattern picker to add some cool overlays to the top sections. Cheers! Most of it's built, but only got the articles part public at the mo. Stay tuned on Twitter, posting daily updates :)
Sounds like a good idea @scottramsay. Just Knowledgebase itself would be a great thing for many. What I find missing is a Guide like a tool to create Knowledgebase - every other tool leaves it to the maker to initiate everything. Too much cognitive load.
At Lightcat.io I have published over 10000 words in the last week (multiple blogs, one release note, new website copy, one guide) and yet I haven't started with a KB.
Hey @kushon thank you! Yes, so would you want a stepped like process while building a knowledge base? E.g - Start with creating collections then moving down inside to write the articles?
It’s hard going keeping everything maintained, especially when everything is on its own platform and have to learn each workflow. From the start, the dashboard is fully responsive - something I’ve noticed many tools still don’t do in 2020!
I am working on integrations between each area of the tool. So for example, you could create a blog and quickly link to a changelog or knowledge base article you’ve made.
If you are interested in testing it out, leave your email at https://astrolahq.com and I’ll give you a shout when it’s ready 😉
Sounds good. Signed up.
Awesome! Be in touch in a few weeks :)

Hey @Sibbngheid my Github says May 4th, but has been toying with the idea since last year :)
🔥 With the same passion like two years ago, I build Owwly - tool for designers, developers and makers to share their projects/progress in one place.
🧐 People often struggle with product’s promotion, how to find first 100, 1000 users. Owwly helps them gain extra traffic and promote side projects in vast internet.
Love this app! Just published my project there.
Ohh, I already have my book published on Owwly ;)
Love the design, is that Angular + Bulma ?
Nice UI @piotrbartoszek ! Will add my apps to it soon. Do you plan on adding more things to the nav? That’s all that stood out to me as weird having 2 items like that.
Thanks Scott! Regarding navbar - simplicity is also beautiful and perfectly fits mobile devices ;)
Would be really cool if you'd visit the site and give a 40sec feedback about your own perception! Thanks🙌
Nice!
so cool, really like the perspective! :)
nice!
Thanks!
Cool. Love the idea. Is there a text chat as an alternative to the video chat? And what do I get out of it? Was short before signing up but hesitated.
@azarai Fair questions.
I did think about a chat as an alternative but thought that a personal conversation is a more human way to have a conversation.
You get to have a conversation with another person(s). Some people who work alone most of the time, especially from home, get lonely and disconnected from the rest of humanity (I am one of those), so getting an opportunity to speak to other people helps.
Following the previous point, a lot of people need a "nudge" into a working state with a daily standup meeting, which is hard to have when there are no peers/colleagues and your friends and family not always available.
On the other hand, for others just writing out their goals/thoughts is enough as long as they know someone will read them and respond. If that's your case, then posting on the site will definitely bring you the rush of endorphins when you get a response.
How am I doing this far?
This is interesting.
Thanks
As I'm sure @tejas3732 you already know, I'm working on Spread (https://www.spreadtech.online/)
Twitter https://twitter.com/SoftwareSpread
Automating Content Marketing and Repurposing.
Thank you for this post. :)
Awesome, when is this launching?
Private invite-only BETA should be ready in a few days!!!!
Invites are sent out in chronological order so depending on when people signed up is when they get the invite.
I'm so excited and so nervous!!
You will do well! All the best!
I’ve been working on my front end dev blog, https://frendly.dev/ - the idea is to start adding practice code snippets in a consumable way, Duolingo style, so I can be constantly practicing the nuances and sometimes unexpected effects of JS code! It would be to help practice for interviews and learn the intricacies of JavaScript over time.
I’m on Twitter at jamiegilman - would be great to connect with fellow devs!
That's actually a great concept! I could see this working well as an app, on a blog, or even as a service where bloggers could add it to their own blogs.
Just followed you on Twitter! I'll be keeping an eye on your progress!
Cheers! Nice to connect
Project: Simple (https://simple-tracker.com)
Twitter: None yet
Pitch: Time tracking takes too much mental energy, with Simple it don't.
Very nice idea. I wonder if you should have a "play" button on those "pills". It would make it easy for users to know they can start/stop the timers by click on them.
Thanks for the feedback, good idea :)
This looks useful, good luck!
(Long time paying Toggl user here, just recently cancelled my 5 year long subscription because their web-app starting eating too much CPU. I'm now back to using Emacs for high-level tracking, and Lazar Focus for the high-resolution fully-automatic tracking)
Thanks! Interesting to hear :)
What is it that you particularly like about Emacs and Lazar Focus? They seem a bit complex to me and I didn't fint so much information, but it would be interesting to hear what you like about them.
My whole life runs on Emacs with Orgmode, see https://cpbotha.net/2019/09/21/note-taking-strategy-2019/ -- Emacs is complex, but once you start understanding it, there's not much you can't do with it.
Lazar Focus activity logging on the other hand is super simple: Start Lazar Focus, click on "Log" and then just go about your day. It will automatically log everything you do on your computer. :) (Last night I made a screencast demo of the app: https://youtu.be/G8z7ZACPtrc )
Nice to see! Realized that you made Lazar Focus, good work!

Sometimes developers like to actually build their mvp themselves, so that's when Wicked Templates comes into game.
Wicked Templates gives you they layout already build and gives the chance to actually change it if you need to.
The templates are only build with HTML5 and a CSS framework for quick prototyping. It can be Bulma, Tailwind and Bootstrap 5.
They only need the HTML 5 to work, they do not have custom CSS, only the declaration for the variable font.
This is possible thanks to the CDN, that gives you the chance to build a website without a hassle.
It is always recommended to download the their respective CSS.
Have a great day !

Sidenote: I dabbled with Quora a few years back and my answers STILL get views. It's pretty insane how evergreen Quora is + the lack of attention it gets.
Cartfuel looks great! Looking forward to it.
Yes, that is what I am trying to share with my audience. People often complain that the answers are collapsed & all, but if you do the right way & share answers, you will get flow of traffic :)

Are you currently working on building an app? I don't use Instagram but I'll follow you if you ever make a Twitter account.
I am working on jemsplash.com and jempost.com

awesome.

Twitter https://twitter.com/khomakho
I feel this platform is going to go so far (compared to my other platforms), only time will tell :)
This looks awesome indeed!
Thanks :)
Honestly, we've only had a few people use the service and now we are looking to market a bit more and get more traffic. Currently running Google Ads to drive people to our site. Fingers crossed it goes well!
All the best :)
I have a website that lets one interact with experienced professionals from all over the world for mentorship via video calls.
Could you suggest some niche areas where this model ( advise or consultation over video ) would provide a lot of value?
Eg :
Connecting Doctors to Patients
Connecting Lawyers to Clients
This is a demo of the website
https://www.facebook.com/VMentoRight/videos/2749819488461831/
That has very good potential, I must say!
Check this-> https://clarity.fm you will get some more ideas!
Thanks for the reply @tejas3732
I knew about clarity before I started building the project ( they specifically cater to startups ) and is now acquired by startup.com
I was looking for more niche high growth areas . Like my website currently connects Canadian mentors ( experienced professionals ) to new immigrants ... and as the Canadian immigration market is on the rise, it's a high growth area.
I was looking for more such niche areas where I could perhaps expand..
Hi all,

⚡️ Alarm clock Local Time Indicator
Full Update: http://taskade.com/blog/real-time-team-multiplayer-indicators
Have fun and let us know what you think!
Great idea Tejas!
This is not really a business/startup idea that I am working on, but I am putting my experiments with minimal designs online to 'learn/make mistakes in public'.
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/visualizednow/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/VisualizedNow
I discovered Jack Butcher via Twitter, loved his style, started learning from his free resources. I started visualizing quotes/tweets and decided to put all these visuals in one place (the IG and Twitter accounts).
After I exhausted every free resource he had published, I purchased his How to Visualize Value course.
I am visualizing tweets/quotes by 'thinkers' I have identified on Twitter. My next challenge is to build a steady pipeline to source ideas to visualize. Like others have offered to review landing pages/keywords on IH, a similar idea has crossed my mind to help others visualize they USP. I am still evaluating what the best option is.
I can talk about a couple of other ideas I am working on, but will reserve this post only for this idea. :)
Looks great. All the best!
Hey @armgitaar interested in this. Do you offer any backup solutions with Cleaver? Think I tried your app last year, nice to see it more polished!
Awesome, glad you like the progress we've made!
We don't have a direct means for backups quite yet but that is something we'll be looking at. 👍
Hello, @tejas3732 nice thread!
1º I'm currently working on Publishers HQ - https://publishershq.com
2º Twitter for anyone interested in nocode and gamedev -> https://twitter.com/duartetb
3º Helping Gamedevs get their game published!
Hey @duartetb looks like we went for a similar “hq” in the name 🙏 cool idea, do you plan on monetising the site?
Hey @scottramsay yea we did :)
Not sure I want to monetize it for know. This was more of a learning side project to get to know some nocode tools - carrd and airtable in this case.
The only monetization I thought about, that would make sense for it, would be to contact publishers directly and ask them if they want to be featured above others on the list.
But even that, I don't know if it makes sense.
May be you can also create a list of all the games category wise so that anyone can submit here as a database.
Then you can maybe ask game owners to pay a certain price to get featured at top.
You can also start a small blog in Game niche & start taking up guest posts as Game reviews. ( Sort of game reviews)
Those make sense @tejas3732 thanks!
The idea for a list of games seems interesting. Will look into it.
Sure :)
Do marketing assets count? I launched mine earlier this week after two weeks of work: https://bridgeurl.com/first-users - it's a curated story showcasing how 100 startups got their first users.
I have not had much success gaining traction for this yet. But I am working on a few strategies over the weekend. Will share my lessons with the community soon.
My band babygotbacktalk is releasing an album on July 17th!
SongRender — a music visualizer video maker. I created it to help promote my band's music on social media. Last month it made almost $600!
Letterwand — a WYSIWYG responsive email builder. I started working on it when I got fed up with handwriting email templates for SongRender. Launched as a public alpha, I'm trying to make sure the email markup it generates is truly bulletproof before charging for it.
SongRender looks neat! Are you using Amazon services to generate the videos automatically?
All my infrastructure is on DigitalOcean! The renderer is just a Node service that uses node-canvas and ffmpeg. I dynamically spin up servers in response to people rendering videos.
Neat! Need to check that out. Had a few ideas before for audio -> video generation so good to see options outside Amazon.
Your both apps are awesome & looks great. Good luck man!
Thanks, you as well!

I'm making a tool for calculating how many resources I'll need in World of Warcraft for different grinds. I've spent enough time doing this math for myself and guildmates that I decided to just make a tool to automate this.

Hey all! Currently working on https://midnight.pub; a virtual pub / writing platform.

Hey, I am working on Water. ( https://wedrinkmorewater.com/)
Hello, everyone! ☀️
I also have some plans to extend some sections with more WP-related content this summer.
I built & launched Megaletter Web: https://megaletter.com and Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/megaletter/jndkgoggphmaejmieibcphlpfpgekkfd
I constantly read articles & save bookmarks, and I wanted them to be public. I've also add a microblog for each user, now working on following other users, adding comments and creating newsletters.

So here's my problem:
I need to create any (landing) page as fast as possible to validate my ideas.
After doing some research I found Landen.co, but the free plan is limited, my bandwidth is capped, I can't set up a custom domain. And I already tired of paying monthly subscription just for hosting.
Hence I'm developing Site2Static to easily hosting it for free at Netlify ;)
Currently and my next year's plan is to create tools for founders that are inexpensive, easy to use, and fast to ship!
My twitter at https://twitter.com/lutfiandc
The biggest differentiation from the popular note taking apps is I focus 100% on you as an individual rather than trying to get a foothold in an enterprise.
Currently doing a big UX revamp. While the app is extremely useful, it isn't very intuitive and takes some getting used to before someone sees the value.
I'm working on Letterbase, a privacy-friendly customer support messenger. I'm experimenting with a new UI which should be released soon. Pretty excited about it :)
My Twitter: https://twitter.com/richard_chu
I'm making an ethical, privacy-friendly customer support tool. Existing tools like Intercom, Drift, and Crisp are extremely privacy-invasive. I wrote a blog post about it.

Keepsy helps you keep your stuff in one place and allows your most trusted person to access your data only if something happens to you.

i like your brand design but you think the crisis can be something for long term to build a business around?
Right now I'm just doing this for a side project and yes, I get your point building a business around masks, and hand sanitizer can be short-sighted. I'm not sure what this project will turn into but I am interested in creating contents that are at the intersection of science, social news, and humor.
