What are you going to build this week?

Well, it's Monday on the Japanese/Australian coast! ☀️

Share your weekly goal here in the comments below. Then try and complete it by Friday! Also, speak up if you need help or advice on your project or if the pandemic is wearing down hard on you.

We are in this together! ❤️

My goal: I’ll start implementing the User data-model on Red Goose today and hopefully finish it all along with User sessions by Friday.

Keep truckin’ it, folks! 🤟🏻

P.S: If you haven't already, do subscribe to our own Indie Hacker's Goal Setters group. It's moderated by @rosiesherry and me and we will help you with the progress each week here in the open.

We're collecting user feedback for Bytehub to get it ready for release.

Any feedback is appreciated and we're working on our previous feedbacks where users wanted more of tailwind css based components.

We're planning to release some 10 components by end of this week.

  2. 4

We have just released the first version of mobile support for https://orgpad.com. It only supports reading of existing documents and there are still a few glitches and bug. I plan to fix these, do a few small improvements in our code and start working on generating campaign links so we can analyze our marketing better. More great stuff is coming in a few months, really looking forward.

  3. 3

Finalize an acquisition. I will post on IH all of the details when it is completed. I am still not sure what I have gotten myself into.

    1. 1

      Whoa! 🤯

Do keep us posted on this! And all the very best!

  4. 3

Great man! A great idea, I will enter in the group right now!

    My week goals is:
Finish my personal blog development, to post articles about technology and my projects.

If I can finish this before friday I will start planning the features of my first personal project that I will publish in the web. (As I described here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/opinions-about-portal-where-people-share-opinions-about-online-courses-68b3c2827e)

    Thanks so much!

      Awesome! All the best! ❤️

I Plan on finishing the mobile app for https://pathroute.io

Just need to add ability to take a photo of actions at locations.

    1. 1

      Pathroute looks cool. 🤟🏻

What are you developing your mobile app with?

      1. 2

        Thank you,

Right now, since i'm a one man army i'll be using react native to quickly get it out to both android and ios. If i see a possible opportunity in the future i'll then do native.

  6. 2

I'm currently working on user feedback & feature request management tool.

Your product users can submit feedback & upvote/comment on exiting feedback right from the feedback widget without leaving your site/app.

I'm currently looking for users who can help me shape my product solution.
I would love to offer my product for free in exchange for your valuable feedback once I release it.

  7. 2

My goal is to launch a brand strategy product targeting early stage startups and e-commerce brands! Good luck everyone!

  8. 2

Trialling tailored videos to sign-ups to doopoll who are yet to be associated to an existing Enterprise account. We're looking to ensure there's as many people as possible across our bigger clients using and collaborating on the platform. I am hoping this will let us discover more from those users when they have access to ALL the features. Also aiming to reduce churn by having people from multiple departments / parts of the business using the platform. Finally, filling all the seats our licences offer is the third goal.

  9. 2

    Love this initiative!

    My plan for this week:

    • Create and schedule my Twitter content for the next two weeks
    • Finish editing and publishing last week's video (Done! ✅ https://youtu.be/H6UU7TsyrGs)
    • Brainstorm & create a list of topics for future videos to prevent decision paralysis and doubt creeping in every time I sit down to create a video
    • Create a video and promote it
    • Go through bookmarked threads and do Safari (30x500 term)
    • Engage on Twitter twice a day for 15min
    • Be helpful in places where my audience hangs out for 30min a day
  10. 2

For Coffee Chats (https://www.trycoffeechats.com), I need to send an email update to all users announcing new features (most notably, supporting Zoom for virtual chats) and then I need to finish Stripe Connect intégration so people can start charging for chats.

For Shoppy, I’ve decided to list it for sale on a Flipla and IndieMaker at a 9x valuation. Will see if anyone wants to acquire it.

    1. 2

      Why 9x? 🙂

All the best with your goals of the week!

      1. 1

Shoppy is super low level of effort (about 1 hour per month) and has been growing consistently with $0 in marketing. I felt a little under 10x ARR was a good place to start, and since everyone negotiates, I'll let them negotiate down a bit for a price that makes sense for both of us.

    On Wicked Templates
I am working on the internal documentation, how to do the templates, the do's and don't s, color palette...

Is just for us, but you guys can see it in the link if you want to.
    Wicked Templates

Then @3rChuss, my co-founder is building some templates with Bootstrap 5.

To end of this week we want to launch at least the first 6 templates with Bootstrap 5.

In the other side I am curating the newsletter too, that goes out in just some hours..

    Hustling, hustling.....

    1. 1

      Wicked!

Since you guys are playing with css frameworks, you are a potential user for my open source project Toucaan. 😅

      1. 1

That's super! Just DM'd you on Twitter!

  12. 2

I’m going to keep working on Fit Vitals.

I’m getting pretty close to being able to onboard my first customer. Aiming to do that by the end of the month.

Running into lots of problems with AWS cost though. So much data.

Anyone have experience affordably storing/querying tons of data in AWS?

    1. 1

      Fit Vitals looks great!

Running into lots of problems with AWS cost though.

Have you applied for free AWS Credits?

  13. 2

By the end of August, I am already thinking of implementing a neural network in my trading predictions, not just an algorithm.

Yesterday: I wrote a new algorithm for searching

Today: I wrote an article about how I use a regular script to build a whole service on TW, and also updated the UI

    https://www.indiehackers.com/post/how-i-tried-to-make-my-first-script-in-tradingview-and-now-i-m-making-a-service-out-of-it-fa4adbb489

  14. 2

I will work on a video blog on how to do SaaS with React, Django, Kubernetes and Gitops. I aim to get the landing page up some time tomorrow.

  15. 2

Our goal this week is to launch Plum Mail and build our waitlist to a good level. Any tips?
    :-)

    1. 1

      Just launch!

Those who feel the pain that your service promises to solve, will signup. Iterate, repeat, rinse until you find product-market fit! 🤟🏻

      1. 1

Oh i see, no sorry what I meant by launch was do a marketing launch. The waitlist and product demos are live. User interviews are being conducted by the dozen!

But yes, I really like the way you have expressed how to achieve PMF.

  16. 2

Lots of work on HackerStash 🥰 (it's a community-led micro finance initiative for hackers and entrepreneurs):

    • Design prize wallet for competitor tournament winnings
    • Start the Pioneer accelerator (we won Pioneer a few months back and their is an accelerator as part of the prize)
    • Fine-tune kanban board (MVP) functionality that we just built as it's still buggy. Can see some of the designs here actually if you're interested
    • Lots of QA!
    • Finish drafting tournament rules
    • Draft + send latest update email to the waitlist members

Good luck implementing your user data model!

    1. 1

Interesting product. That’s some clear set of goals!

  17. 2

Hey Marvin! It's nearly Monday in the Eastern US, so I'm about to get some sleep.

My webapp is currently built for mobile, so I need to tweak things for medium sized devices. Then I'll start building additonal functionality for larger screens.

    1. 1

      Ha! I’m in DC/east coast too. 🤟🏻

I suppose you intend to scale up usability of your webapp on tablets this week? Solid goal!

  18. 2

I stopped coding in production for the last couple months, but I'm back to work on www.kintohub.com for one week (and excited!!!).

    I'm doing 3 things:

    • Be able to search for environment variables and reference them from other services
    • Finishing up the tail end of a kinto teleport feature which is a CLI tool that helps redirect traffic from the cloud to your local machine and tunnel ports from your local machine to your cloud environment for access to services such as a database.
    • Proposing the first version of our .kinto files so that people can define their service needs via infrastructure as code versus using the interface.

    Exciting week ahead!

    1. 1

Teleport! Sounds like a cool feature.

      All the best! ❤️
