What are you working on?

Which Project/Startup/Side-Hustle are you working on?

Put your link below & let's make some connections. Provide feedback to one another. Lets make this happen.

I will start with mine.

I help businesses & individuals leverage Quora Marketing

What are you working on?

  1. 14

Working on stockalarm.io, A platform that lets users set alerts on US stocks & crypto based on things like price limits, technical analysis, and whatnot. (our platform will call/ping/text you when the alert goes off)

Currently working on adding volume-based alerts to it (quite a pain).

    1. 3

This is a very good idea. I myself Invest in stocks & this would be really helpful

    2. 2

I like this idea. I’d love to know how it differs from trading view alerts which i use at the moment

      1. 1

Good question and thank you for the support!

Our main differentiator is that we are focused on alerts as opposed to trading view which is more focused on delivering content and information. We provide phone calls / text messages/ and push notifications which are far more effective than trading views options (email, email to sms, push).

Please let me know your opinion and if you have any suggestions!

        1. 2

Well just from my prospective I find the content and messages amateurish and the only two features I use it for are charting and alerts

    3. 2

Hi @yahiabakour! I really like the idea. Being a long term investor who doesn't monitor quotes very frequently I remember several times I missed a really important moment to close a position. You have a pretty decent amount of triggers which is really useful. I just wonder if a trigger based on divergence between two different stock prices might be helpful for some arbitrage trading ideas.

      1. 1

@bilevn Awesome, glad to hear that an investor likes the app and the trigger options.

Mhmm a trigger based on the divergence between different exchange's quotes of the same stock would be extremely interesting, gonna add it to our backlog of things to check out.

I would love to hear if you have any more trigger ideas!

    4. 1

Want to add some sentiment and keywords alerts? I am about to spin out some features from my product http://blockchain.qokka.com/ (which has these alerts) and APIs in http://crypto.qokka.com/

    5. 1

Nice - what data source are you using? Alpha Vantage?

      1. 2

@seattlehacker Thanks!, currently using a few data sources including CMC (crypto), IEX (stocks), and a few minor ones.

Been eyeing Alpha Vantage for quite some time and thinking about making the switch.

        Got any suggestions?

        1. 1

Nice! I only briefly played around with it but it was easy to use. It didn't seem there were a lot of sophisticated API services (particularly for free) out there for finance and this stood out. You just signup and get an API key and can start pulling data.

I am working on Incubator List and Episolo.

Incubator List is a curated directory of startup programs. Now I am creating a module for IncubatorList, which will help you apply to multiple startup programs.

Episolo will be a platform connecting solo-founders with mentors. I am currently building the platform (it's not operating yet).

    1. 1

“Apply to multiple startup programs” - that’s the 💣👍🏻

    2. 1

      nice! I need that!

    3. 1

Hello @bozkan! Thank you for the Incubator List. I found the location filter to be a really handy feature. Also the list is pretty diverse. Nice work!

  3. 6

Just launched my own personal space where I will be documenting various businesses experiments and trying to reach my goal 👉 https://benasdigital.com/

    1. 2

      Subbed!
reminds me of Andrey Azimov's journey which was fun to follow along.

By the way, I noticed a couple little things that are off on your site, for instance there's a" click here." with nothing to click. Also, that 4.9mb picture of yourself... take a look at https://squoosh.app/

      1. 2

        Thanks for:

        • subscribing :)
        • letting me know about Andrey - looks super interesting, subbed to him! In the meantime, will be reading his story, very inspiring.
        • website that you shared! Looks like something that I have been looking for a long time.
    2. 1

      Interesting stuff. Good Luck!
Just signed up for the newsletter.

    3. 1

Wow Loved your website man. I see you are on YT too. Good one.

  4. 5

I am slowly working towards v2 of my product https://www.emailthis.me
I am trying to implement some new features like 'dark mode', 'scheduled emails' :)

    1. 2

This looks nice. Keep it up

      1. 2

Thanks, Tejas! Best of luck with your Quora book!

    2. 1

      Awesome concept. Keep it up.

  5. 4

Hi guys! I am working on a travel platform https://www.routitude.com, that helps people find optimal destinations for a journey based on their preferences on weather conditions, visa requirements, quality of life statistics, prices and many more. With situation around the world being extremely concerning due to the pandemic and travel not being a good idea right now, we thought we could still do something useful with our website. For the time being, we decided to turn it into coronavirus monitoring service with real-time COVID-19 data, historical charts and travel restrictions for each country.

    1. 1

Super clean! Where are you pulling your data from?

      1. 1

Hi Adam! Most of the data comes from Wikipedia articles. Also we use popular JHU CSSE dataset for historical charts.

  6. 3

The ultimate email source https://reallygoodemails.com/ Focusing on community building.

    • Was interested in Quora. Thought the traffic might be low now. Could be worth looking at again.
    1. 2

Hi, Your site is quite good. Thanks for this.

And yes, Quora is really an underrated platform. I have got ton of traffic & even generated sales via my answers.

      1. Quora Digest has even shared my answer to more than 20 Million+ people. Got fantastic exposure there.

      2. Generated Leads for my clients with a 30% conversion rate & it was insane.

I detail everything here in my book on Quora Marketing -> Currently on Discount, Only 5 copies left here.

P.S:- I will have to share your site on FB group too. Its quite good & valuable.

  7. 3

I'm working on https://www.seo-guard.com a tool that automates lighthouse checks for websites.
Currently improving the automated build pipeline before I finish the Stripe integration. Adding Stripe was so far a really pleasant surprise, the process is really painless and the documentation is great :)

    1. 1

This was something I had in mind a few weeks ago. You sort of executed very well.

    2. 1

Install FB Pixel & Collect data. Then Start retargeting. Ad costs have sunk too :D

      1. 2

Ah, that's super interesting! I've thought about using ads recently. Now might actually be the best time to get started with it!

        1. 1

Yes it might be the best time

  8. 3

I'm working on splitbee.io, an analytics & A/B testing platform. It's not like the other analytics tools on IH. I'm focusing on product & user analytics. That means, user events, funnels, conversion improvements and much more! :)

  9. 3

I am working on Commun an Open Source No-Code platform for creating scalable backends for communities and user based apps.

    GitHub: https://github.com/commundev/commun

    1. 2

Hey marian2js, I worked at BaaS called Back4App and they had an idea very similar to yours. But they were focused on Mobile Apps. They were inspired on the huge startup Facebook acquired named Parse. I think your idea is great and has lots of potential. Keep going!

    2. 1

      Great. Keep it up brother.

  10. 3

I'm working on an online personal organizer https://getyourganize.com

I've just come to the end of a build period and need to add more onboarding and behavioural science content to the tools (which will double as content marketing), as the goal is to try to help people in being more productive in working towards their goals.

    1. 1

Looks really cool! Are there any integrations with other tools so projects and goals don't become fragmented across various platforms. That's been a challenge for me.

      1. 1

Thanks! Just Google Calendar at the moment. It's an early stage product and I'm trying to see if users are interested in paying (just 3 so far) before integrating other tools. Thanks for taking a look :)

    2. 1

Liked it. Loved your landing page too. Smooth experience.

  11. 3

    Hi Tejas, great idea :)
I'm working on https://interestinsights.com/ and specifically, right now I'm implementing a new feature to automate the creation of Facebook ads.

    1. 2

      Hi @FrankHald, This is Awesome.

Btw, I know how to find hidden interests of FB Ads via Marketing API, but its quite a lengthy process.

Your site would be helpful. Good one :)

      And nice landing page there.

      1. 2

        Thank you, appreciate it! :)

        1. 1

Do let me know if you need any help with Quora Marketing. I can provide you with some tips to get more traction for your site :)

          1. 2

Thats a great offer – I'll do that when I'm ready for it, thanks! :)

            1. 1

Sure, you can connect me here on LinkedIn

  12. 3

I'm working on needremote.com - simple base of remote workers.

    1. 2

Nice one. I just filled up too :P

  13. 2

We're building https://softcomm.bytebeacon.com: helps CXOs, managers, admins, even individuals take chat like micro surveys and information gets rolled up to show a summary on their projects / team / employee engagement and happiness.

Would love to hear from designers (on landing) , admins and startup guys (on trying out our free pilot offering on the product itself).

  14. 2

I'm working on my app called "Contacts Journal CRM". It's an easy-to-use CRM app that can be used for your business, professional and/or personal relationships.

Currently adding features to make it easier to add Custom Fields, as well as expanding on the Email Templates feature.

    Would love some feedback!

  15. 2

I'm working on FounderInterviews.com 🎙️🔥 Personal stories of startup founders. You can add your own story too. It's totally free, at least for now. :)

    1. 1

Hi @firatdemirel, I have mailed you check :)

  16. 2

Working on charttt.com - a chart-as-image service mainly targeted to embed charts into emails and blogging platforms.
Website and charts editor are already live. Any feedback is appreciated.

    1. 2

This is a really cool and unique idea! I think the website is extremely clean and easy to understand. I like how straightforward the documentation is. As a developer, I feel like I could jump right in pretty quickly without ripping my hair out which is huge. Can't speak as much to the business side but if I was ever writing a blog post where I needed to insert charts I would seriously consider using this tool, and I imagine other bloggers would too.

      1. 1

        Appreciate the feedback, thanks!

  17. 2

Working on building https://www.balancethegrind.com.au/ into an online hub for conversations, ideas and community based on work-life balance. So far we've interviewed 500+ people - entrepreneurs, artists, CEOs, musicians, startup founders, freelance writers and more - about how they balance the grind.

Currently working on adding a company board featuring companies we admire for their work life balance culture, and a coaching board to help connect individuals with coaches for career, wellness, performance, etc.

    1. 1

“Interviewed 500+ people” - that’s very impressive! No small feat

  18. 2

Taking a break from my main product to work on growing http://hallway.chat this week. I want to get to 200 teams using it soon!

  19. 2

I am writing a book about open source licenses (https://gumroad.com/l/oss-licensing-in-a-nutshell). I believe this is an important subject because developers have to deal with open source software on daily basis, and they should care about licensing issues (and some problems behind it). My motivation for this book is that the existing books on this subject are written by lawyers, using dense terminology... My intention is to make things easier to understand.

  20. 2

Sort of working on my side project. Validate if it's useful (https://www.talktroop.com) to marketers.

    1. 2

      Hey rashid777!

Nice idea you have! I have seen a similar one at Drawkit.io. They had this simple checkout that you could buy design assets easily. Maybe you should take a look at your audience, but the idea is nice.

      1. 1

Thanks for your feedback. I'll check it out.

EDIT: It can be used for anything online but we are focussing on one area. Is there anything you want to see it?

    2. 2

Hey, I just checked this. Can you elaborate more ? Suppose I have a gumroad url that takes people to purchase my book on Quora, How can i use talktroop for that?

      1. 3

To make a payment URL, you tell us what your selling and in return, you get a payment URL. When a customer clicks on the URL, they will be directed to a shopping cart (checkout page) and the product is added to the cart. A customer can add multiple products to the cart. The customer can also access the product details without leaving the page. The cart is accessible to anyone (click on https://www.talktroop.com/checkout).

Sellers can integrate multiple payment gateways and show off their brand. You may also chat with your customers with our built-in chat system. Sellers can manage their transactions, read analytics, etc...

The core features are implemented but there are more features. We are at the moment focussing on physical products (but digital products is something we noted down). If you any suggestions, let me know.

Really a useful tool for online sellers.

I guess the payment URL can be used for numerous things online but we are just focussing marketers (for now).

  21. 2

I just yesterday launched DomainProactive (https://domainproactive.com), a SaaS tool for monitoring various attributes of domains. I would appreciate any feedback. I'm trying to figure out how to improve the landing page.

    1. 2

Hi @GeneMcCulley, You need to figure out your landing page layout soon bro.

I have one recommendation. Check Swipepages.com for landing pages. But I dont know how your saas tool can fit in.

Cant you use a CMS for your site?

      1. 1

I appreciate the feedback. I set out with the goal of making this a single page app and not using a CMS at all. I'm reconsidering that now.

  22. 2

    Hey Tejas!

I am trying to get my first user at my current side project Pitch. The link is https://www.getpitch.io

    Cheers!

    1. 2

Hi, some feedback on the website, just my 2 cents:

      1. Make the main and sub headers 2 times bigger. Also add "unlimited" to the main header "free unlimited podcast hosting"
      2. Make the sub header more concise - e.g. "unlimited episodes. All-in-one solution with landing page, analytics and RSS feed.
      3. I like the clean design, but I'm missing a little color. Maybe a touch of paint in each of the drawing, or highlight the headers
      4. The main CTA should be bigger and with some message "start free now", "create your first episode now"
      5. The hero image doesn't seem to be related to the product at all. find something that conveys the message.
      6. It's hard to buy into something that you don't see. You should add a demo site for a podcast so I can see what I'm going to get

      Good luck!

  23. 2

I just built a SaaS product from initial idea to production-quality launch in under 8 hours.

Complete with Stripe billing and a beautiful UI.

Saasify is going to be a game-changer for Micro SaaS 💯

    Check it out: https://twitter-search.io

And the full source code: https://github.com/saasify-sh/twitter-search

    1. 2

Man, I needed to use a feature like this last week and I was so mad that twitter didn't offer something like that. It then popped up the idea: this can be a product!! Well, I didn't want to drop my current side project once again so I let it go. haha

    2. 2

Really liked your idea, Saasify. The site is well polished, the onboarding easy and gives a nice sensation of next steps to implementation

      1. 1

Thanks, Ramon -- saw you signed up for the beta 😄

  24. 2

Building community around around AWS users at https://helloclouders.com

Started interviewing a couple of startups which are built on top of AWS.

    1. 2

Hey upenv, I felt uneasy to put my email on the mailing list. I didn't feel the necessary confidence to go through with the process. Maybe improving the landing page might help you

      1. 1

Yes. This is on my list. As I was using one of the landing pages with a few limitations around, I am working on building a better page.

Meanwhile, I am about at 100-150 subscribers. There are some changes from the initial plan. I have spoken to a bunch of my subscribers and most people prefer to have a weekly email as daily email is way too much for anybody.

So, I am slightly changing a few things and will come up with new landing page. But yes, your feed back is taken.

    2. 1

Hi @upenv, you really need to improve your page.

      ~ Add more content
~ More Benefits of your project
~ Basically everything. Get this Conversion Checklist Chrome Plugin and make changes.

      Regards,
      Tejas

      1. 2

Hey, Agreed on 'adding more content and benifits'

At a first glance, I couldn't get what this plugin is doing, but yes, I will check that as well.

        1. 1

Open your page, then activate this plugin. Basically it is a conversion checklist helping your page to improve to make more conversions, sales, leads.

          1. 1

Yes. Got it now. Just installed the plugin and working around.
            Thankyou.

  25. 2

I am working on my side project, Colors and Fonts redesign.

I am designing it and working on the code too...

You can see here how is going.

I am looking for a general feedback, but mostly on the hero pitch text.

    "Speed up your workflow.
With a growing collection of colors and typography tools for web developers and digital designers"

I wonder how it sounds and if makes sense. For me it does sounds fine, but maybe when you are not used to read it every day , it sounds different....

Thank you so much for your help ! Have a good day everyone.

    1. 2

Nice! Just used one of the gradients for charttt.com instead of the flat color I had.
One small thing - the hamburger menu that opens the left panel would better fit on the left side closer to the menu that it opens
Regarding the set of tools - would be nice to see them "in action" - show a template site or app that is using the fonts, colors, contrasts, etc. Like a playground for the tools that you offer.

      1. 1

Hey! how cool, is it fluor?
        it looks nic!

Actually, I am working in three different tools, 2 for colors and 1 for typography. One of the color tools is actually a color palette toggle. You choose the palette and it applies to some UI components.

If you mean the button on mobile on thumb reach I am working on a bottom bar.
Do you mean that the sidebar would be better coming out from the right?

thank you so much for your feedback Dan

        1. 1

Hi, I'm on desktop, not mobile. the menu button in the toolbar is floating to the right, but the panel that it opens is on the left. I would place it to the left of the logo so when I click I don't have to cross with the mouse all the way to the left to rich to the menu.

          1. 1

Yeah, fair enough. I could work on that. To be honest, I don't like the idea of crossing either. Let me see what I can do

  26. 2

Hey @tejas3732! Great idea to see what everyone's busy working on!

This time last week I was early on a new idea (called Cove), and yesterday I launched the landing page as I've got the basic product working now and I want to start announcing it. It's at https://cove.chat. I'm building a commenting and community tool for Ghost blogs/publications, harnesses the new(ish) membership feature as the auth system. I haven't seen it done before, and I think there will be a decent market for it (Ghost is growing nicely as a platform). It's so exciting being at the start of a project and building something from scratch!

Otherwise, I'm doing support and some development on my main SaaS product, Subsail. And I'm also trying to convert some of my many drafts into published articles on my blog about working online, Make & Graft.

Oh, and the day job :D

Hope everyone's safe and well out there!

    1. 2

Love your blog, def going to bookmark some of this stuff to read later! Also thought you should know, the link to "Health" at the top menu bar returns 404. Really like the design, is it one of the templates on offer with Ghost or is it custom? I've been using Wordpress but now seeing how slick this looks I am wondering if I should switch

      1. 1

        Thanks a lot Nadya!
The Health page shows a 404 because all my health posts are stuck in draft form 😅

And the theme is Casper, Ghost's default, plus some custom fonts. I'm building a custom theme at the moment for it.

    2. 2

Wow. You are doing so much projects. Deep Respect. Wonder how you manage all of this after a day job too.

      Great. Loved it.

      1. 2

The only way is to do small chunks frequently! Three kids also suck up a lot of time :)

        Step by step...

  27. 2

    Awesome idea,
I'm working on my blog, daily development tips for the community.

Looking to grow contacts, do mentorships and become better myself:
    https://daily-dev-tips.com/

    1. 1

Would love to connect with you! I have a blog myself, focused on creative coding. Impressive that you release new posts every day! I only release 1 per week-ish, at best.

      1. 1

        Wow, nice!
It's hard work and have to really push myself in the weekend some times haha,
Try to work ahead by writing the beginning to a certain blog post on 1 day and finalized on the day they need to go out.

        Will reach out on Twitter!

      1. 1

        Thank you so much! 🔥

I'm working on Wormie Word Search, a child friendly edition of the classic word search game. Started of as a side-project to learn more about Flutter together with Rive (for animations).

I’m working on https://legalnow.co a community legal platform, helping the people that are caught between expensive lawyers and evaporating legal aid. They still need a way to access legal advice. I’m looking at ways in which I can start the community

  30. 1

I currently working on Super Affiliate System by this guy's system, https://bit.ly/2xcHS0H which seems to be working fine for me, he has a free training where he reveals some pretty interesting things for about 45 minutes in. I am trying to inform people about this program and it's benefits. And I am a bit lost on how to increase my audience .

I hope we all can help each other!
    Stay safe :)

  33. 1

I'm working on https://studio.diagram.codes . It's an app to quickly create diagrams from text representation (Available for Windows and Mac OS).

  34. 1

I'm working on https://www.octobook.io/, launching in a few weeks.

I love to read but I always forget what I've read, and it's hard for me to keep track of all the books I'm reading, so I thought I'd build something that helps me keep on top of it all.

There are alternatives out there for tracking books, and cataloging, but they are all stuck in dinosaur age with horrible user experience. Plus none of them help you learn :)

    1. 2

This is very nice! One read a book, and then it's difficult to find the things that you learnt.

    2. 1

Why don’t you add a qr code scanner to this so you can quickly add books?

      1. 1

I mentioned it in the FAQs :) turns out it was pretty easy to convert my webapp into a mobile application so I've added QR code scanner already.

  35. 1

Just finished up my first quarantine project and waiting for a part of it to be approved in the WordPress plugin respository. Basically, I had searched for how companies or developers do "demo websites" where they let their users interact with it and then it resets itself after a time period has passed. I thought, "wow, that's cool that website does that I wonder what service they are using."

Coudn't find anything. I believe most just set up an instance or a demo website and then do the heavy lifting of manual work of resetting or maybe they wrote their own cron job to reset whatever. That means it is custom and not available to others. While the service might not exist, I thought maybe something for WordPress... so I looked for a plugin and while I found plenty of plugins that backup your website for you automatically, none of them will restore it automatically for you. So I built Rewind WP.

Let your clients interact with a website you built for them or if you are a teacher having students interact with the site, then you can let them go in there and mess around. Maybe you have a WordPress plugin or theme you just built and you want your visitors or potential customers to engage on the backend or frontend with it, but you don't want to save those changes. You can have your website reset every 10 minutes, an hour, or longer if you wishusing the snapshot you created. That is the concept.

    https://rewindwp.com

And I just started my second quarantine project which is still mostly in mockup and non-functioning mode but I plan to have it done by the end of this week. It is very simple plugin that makes a daily backup of your website each day. You can also use it to restore or migrate your website with a single click. My reason for creating this is quite simple: its another alternative backup program that might be slightly easier to use than most other backup plugins. It only holds a single backup of your website each day. WP Daily Backups. https://wpdbs.com

I am a mess! I released several games, most recently Grand Canyon Adventure (Quiz Game) about weathering for elementary school kids. I released a book a few months ago called "Foot in the Door" which is about my journey getting my first software engineering job as a self taught developer.

Neither of these ventures made me much in the way of $$$ unfortunately. I ALSO have a blog that I am trying to stick to but I can't decide what product to make to sell on my blog. Selling my book through my blog hasn't really worked, but maybe my blog just needs improvement. Currently trying to improve SEO and get more posts on there.

    My blog is at www.nadyaprimak.com/blog

“Solve your own problem”. Seems to Ben a mantra in the startup community. It might help guide you

      1. 1

I have been trying to approach it with that attitude more. So far the best I have come up with is a course for women developers who have imposter syndrome. It's not a problem I have as bad anymore but it made my career pretty miserable sometimes so I think I could help other women. But I have no experience with selling online courses whatsoever.

I am working on usertrack.net, a Self-Hosted Analytics Platform. I have just released a huge update and I am now working on creating a new landing page, as the current one is outdated and doesn't convert that well.

Hi all let me share mine as well.

In the last couple of weeks I've hacked together a small website that let's you check the latest trending world news or all the news related to a topic you are interested in. There are additional filters that allows you to have even more specific searches like date range, languages, etc.

It critical that we stay informed in what’s going on in the world during these crazy times where information is of most importance.

Here is the link to the website: https://www.thenewsload.com/

Any feedback is much appreciated (bugs, feature requests and anything you can think of).

'Snap/Instagram Stories' UI Inspired Content Aggregator:
    https://storystreamer.live/

I've always been a big fan of the Snapchat/Instagram Story UI format but I wasn't the biggest fan of the content on those applications. At the same time I wanted a single place where I could get up to speed on various topics. I ended up combining the ideas.

    1. 1

This reminds me of some speed reading training sites I've come across. Because there is never a lot of text on the page, I can read it very quickly and get a snapshot of what is going on in any area I am interested in without spending a lot of time. I wonder if focusing on the "get up to speed, quickly" with emphasis on the quickly part might get more interest (not assuming you are struggling getting people interested, just what piqued my interest the most personally)

I’m working on Video Game Finder - a website to find out more about video games based on a photo or screenshot. https://videogamefinder.herostream.io/?ref=IH

I'm launching this to get real world feedback on the user experience. Everything from comments about games, ideas for uses cases or people that might find it interesting.
Would love any kind of feedback :)

Really cool! Integration of the technology with game streaming platforms would be amazing to identify games that are being currently played on the stream.

      1. 1

great idea! Which streaming platforms do you think of?
The integration would be as a browser extension?

Oh no, that shouldn’t happen. Can you write here or message me at herostream.io which platform and browser you use? That would be super helpful.

If you find an exciting, unknown game, on which website or place do you see them usually?

        1. 1

Hey there, just posting that I am getting the same issue. Uploaded a .jpg using Chrome on a Mac. Same error message as robbiejs described. I uploaded an image from a game on Steam. I like the idea though! I think it will be very useful.
