What are you working on this weekend?

I've been building a dashboard tool to bring all my product metrics together in one place. Working on fulfilling a few user requests this weekend :-)

https://everview.app

What are you building?

  1. 3

I spent this morning reading through Weekend Build applications. Lots of creative ideas.

Later today, I'm taking an LCD break to go listen to some DJs. :)

      Hi Ryan,
I remember you announced some side projects accelerator or so. I thought then probably it's not applicable to my project. But now I changed my mind. Unfortunately, I can't find the link. Is the deadline over?
      Thanks!

Just launched end-to-end encryption on my relational note-taking app - https://contexted.io

  3. 2

Continue thinking about how to make https://goallyhub.com/ valuable to small businesses.

Also, great idea. I have thought about doing something like that. A dashboard for my life.

    1. 1

I’d thought about doing a personal development/life dashboard bit figured it would be hard to monetise

  4. 2

I'm working on https://formito.com , trying to add pricing plans.

    1. 1

I really like the design of your site - I see that everything is free right now, how are you thinking about structuring the pricing plans? On conversations, features and/or something else?

      1. 2

I'm launching the pricing plans on Wednesday. It would be number of conversation per month, the kind of components they can put in the chatbot, and integrations the can use.

Working out a marketing strategy for my 5K training app - Runmoreapp.com

I just finished multiplayer for Danger World, so right now I'm building a marketing campaign for it. I'm also reworking some of the levels of the game.

Writing a PR/FAQ for an idea I’m working on for a tool for lead developers. Also bought the domain.

      Mind sharing more details?

Hey! Created a slack group as my MVP to help validate what I'm trying to do, it's a channel where you can get feedback and in return you give feedback, check it out if you're interested or have time! https://join.slack.com/t/feedbackswap/shared_invite/enQtNzAyMTQzNjE5MzE0LWRjYTE3ZjZhNTlhNDZhY2Y1ZGZiYjFjY2YzNTk2NDYyM2IxM2VlZTVmN2M2YWM1ZDIwZTRhMTE1MDU0NzEzZWM

      Feedback for what?

    Hi Kyle,
    thanks for your post.
I'm working on the next app template for my market SaaS Forge
It will be a product web site with a landing page, pricing page, contact form, faq page, news feed, and a blog. It's not just another landing page template, it's a working web application that can be run immediately after you add some settings.
Additional features: mailchimp integration, AWS S3 integration for blog images upload (maybe).

    1. 1

Interesting, I have a similar product (although a bit different). Your link doesn't load though?

      1. 1

Hi, not sure what you meant about the link? It leads to the website. Doesn't work for you?
As for your product, right, it's pretty similar to mine. Fortunately, different tech stack :)

        1. 1

I'm getting a www.saasforge.dev refused to connect. error

          1. 1

This is weird. I checked it from different browsers, and even in different services checking if a site is down or up.
Maybe something is blocking it from you because it's in .dev domain zone?
Can you tell me, which error it shows? Thanks!

            1. 1

You're right – I can't access any .dev domains – not sure what's going on

              1. 1

Hmmm that's strange. Maybe something wrong with your internet provider? I experience problems with my email today :(((

In the stage building the MVP (https://www.liroop.com). I did do some validation and it is a mix so I think an MVP can worth trying as well.

  11. 1

Adding new features to Athenify.com 👨🏼‍💻 (folders, tags, rich text editing), adding a live demo, and fixing issues.

  12. 1

I'm trying to separate landing page from Rails app and move it to Wordpress for better content writing/SEO for https://tamuhq.com/

Then create a subdomain for app.domain for SaaS app and use the domain for landing page and /blog

  13. 1

I'm working on https://makerspartlist.com, trying to create a landing page that better communicates our difference, but design is hard, so many little things

  14. 1

I’m working on the first version of my weekly digest for sales people, getting there slowly but steadily!

  15. 1

I am working on the “Learn” area of my Flutter developer community, https://Widget.Build.

    1. 2

Yo if this was sharable and editable (Like a Google Doc) - I think I'd get a lot of value out of this.

ATM I just copy and paste itineraries into chats with friends

But, I'm also not sure I'd be able to change the behaviour of my friends and it might revert back to being chat messages

Not sure if that was helpful at all 😭

      1. 2

Very helpful, thank you very much! Sharing (read-only style) is extremely high on the list of planned features, even before I build user accounts.

The collaborative editing will also be interesting to design the right way. Maybe I'll just let people create personal copies of other people's plans, that way you and your friends could create several variations.

        1. 1

Yea that might be an interesting way to test it out. What was the motivation behind this product?

Thanks for the pointer! I hadn't come across this even though I searched reddit a bunch. I'll be very curious to see how this develops, definitely means that I won't try to build the exact same thing.

  16. 1

    Bought domain http://startuptool.io
    Let's see how it goes.

    1. 1

That is a great domain. What are you planning todo with it?

      1. 2

At start, I am planning to list top (free) products to help startups bootstrapping. Like marketing, design, CRM, payment tools.

  17. 1

Working on https://uptrack.app. Writing some long needed scripts to move further faster.

  18. 1

I've been working on finalising my website and some tidy ups https://trackmylift.app also getting stuck into my last 5-6 crucial backlog items for the app.

    1. 2

Looks good, what’s the difference between something like Strong?

      1. 2

I've used strong for 3 weeks as part of my research part of my project. And a week on 80% of all top gym workout trackers.

TrackMyLift is 10x more simpler, with more powerful features that don't jump out at you.

My main aim is to have an app that is simple, easy to use, but with the simple usability, behind it, powerful functionality.

Most of the "top apps" or albeit, most gym workout tracker apps in general have so much unnecessary, bloated functionality which takes away from what the user wants to do: simply log a workout like they would do with pen and paper and have the ability to look back quickly, easily, with no added gimmicks.

Time spent on the app for tracking and scheduling will be minimal due to how fast and efficiently you can log and use the app. 😊 I know I'm obviously being bias towards my own product but I'm basing this off my research and first hand usage of other top apps. 😊

I'm determined to make this successful as working out is something I love as well as being passionate about launching a successful product!

If you want anymore info or if you're intrigued, DM me on twitter and I can send you a few sneak peeks if you want.

        1. 2

Did you give GymRun a try? I've been trying a couple of other trackers before and I really like its simplicity.

          1. 2

Yeah I did, I've tried basically every gym and workout related app on the market to be honest... I spent over 3 months in this phase. Plus I am a bodybuilder myself so I've constantly been looking for something that fits my needs over the years and have always reverted to pen and paper due to the fact that they are all bloated with stuff I don't need.

TrackMyLift is even more simpler paired with the powerful functionality. You'll love this, 31st August release date - check it out on product page and also posting all updates to the Facebook and Twitter pages

Taking a break from writing code and putting some time into the blog for https://www.notifycore.com

    1. 2

Hey, I'm intrigued about the country code API - There have been times when I've wanted to send the name of a country and get back a lot of info (Bit more than just country code) but unfortunately I've had to build out a few of my own things.

I'd be down to chat if you want to talk to a potential customer

      1. 2

        Hi @Dannyaziz97,
Good to hear. I'll be happy to have a discussion with you. I can reach you by mail if it's fine by you. The beta documentation can be found here GetCountryCodes Documentation. It's open source as well by the way. Cheers!

It is React, I built it in a 30 mins to get something up quickly. I'll use server-side rendering when I launch the proper one :-)
