May is now over, and I want to see what you've been up to!
May wasn't that great for me. I shelved my first idea for various reasons. My second idea was a physical product rather than software. It took a while to coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers so I didn't launch that either. But the prototype should be ready in a few days.
Luckily the challenge is 12 in 12 months, so if I launch 2 projects in June then I'm still on track!
What did you launch?
We don't talk about it enough but its completely fine, if you weren't able to ship something.
In the month of May, I shipped thelesson.club which is a community to learn something new every month. To be honest, it took me around 3 months to just come up with the idea because I wasn't in a good mental state.
Don't force yourself to ship 2 things in a month, for the sake of the challenge :)
Absolutely! I think some people miss the point of the challenge and force themselves to ship anything, even if they don't want to work on it, just to say they've launched.
I'm not really forcing myself to launch 2 things this month. It's just that my May project has rolled over to June, and I'm also working on my June project anyway, so 2 is possible.
thelesson.club looks interesting - how are the topics chosen each month?
Good to know that you atleast have the project started already and that's what you are rolling over.
For thelesson.club, the topics are being selected from a bunch of defined interests. However, they won't be limited to it. Once the community grows, people will vote for it.
