What do you use to make a simple landing page for your upcoming product? (with 'subscribe to get notified' etc.)

I wonder how you make simple landing pages for your upcoming product.

Such a landing page would have a simple hero, maybe an about, and a 'subscribe to get notified' email input. To grab attention of people interested in your product definition.

How do you make such a page, what do you use?

How do you manage the emailing list? Do you use 2 different product (1 for landing page and 1 for email list)? Or do you build the whole thing yourself?

Do you use Carrd, or mailchimp's landing page builder?
