What has your experience been connecting with people on Indie Hackers?

I'd love to hear about what your past experience has been connecting with people that you found through IndieHackers beyond individual posts.

Did you ever chat with someone over the audio/video call?

Did you ever meet anyone?

Were there any encounters that were meaningful to you?

In my opinion, @jimzarkadas is the king of talking to fellow indie hackers. Check out how he does it: 1 and 2.

Takeaway: When you get along well in a comments section or when people are into what you do, just ask them for a quick call.

That way, I’ve talked to three people from IH so far.

I regularly chat with a lot of IHers on Twitter and even met some of them in real life. IH is the best place to connect with other like minded people.

I've chatted with quite a few IHers, some of those chats ended up on youtube :) but that was "intentionally"

Mar-May 2020 there were a lot of activity because of sudden remote work and I had an opportunity to meet with people who are good in marketing, sales, landing pages etc, so we had chat on those topics. Also, I've attended unofficial IH meetups with 5+ people

all in all, nice experience from all of them

I've chatted with a couple indie hackers on Twitter. It's nice meeting people that share the feeling of being indie and trying to get by.

In general I think it's a very friendly community, full of people ready to help you grow.
