What keeps you motivated?

That it. Just the qusetion

The ability to help contribute to making the change that I'd like to see in the world. And ultimately doing work I truly enjoy.

In my opinion, what gets you to start creating something in the first place comes naturally from within.

What keeps you going down a specific path is positive feedback from the world at large.

This is a very fractal topic. I'm coming at it from a creator/maker's perspective.

This answer's so good and rings true for me. I can make a variety of things, so whenever I'm really getting great feedback I'll keep going in that direction.

Quite well put. The battery drains from time to time, and it's good to keep yourself charged.

My biggest motivation is family. They are my main source of inspiration along with my most powerful supporters as well. When I see my parents working, it gives me the drive to be like them. Their dedication to functioning is what motivates me to be like them. They're individuals that are self-motivated. Hence I try to imbibe their positivism. I have learned from my father to not give up on a client that was challenging. The character is to experience the grind to actually understand exactly what the other person needs. This excites me to take challenges and risks with no fear of failure or financing up out. My mother is the origin of serene assurance. Knowing exactly where to drive hard and where to slow down is something I've imbibed from her. They stay, my men and women, if I not as motivated or even feel under the weather. Family is such a beautiful thing, all the draining that you take for a whole day comes to a nice end just by seeing their beautiful face.

    "If not me, who?
    If not now, when?"

    • I like what I'm doing, in general. There will be some positive days, some negative. The sum of positive ones need to be greater than the negatives.

    • Strong purposes. Life is limited, and I want to let this world a bit better whenever I go.

    • I work on seeing long term. In my experience, short term endeavor are not really interesting. Plus, motivation can be trained, like everything, and long term tasks are better suited for that.

    • I work on the fact that any help or little advice, like this one, can help people accomplish many things. I believe in our potential, as human, to improve.

It's a hard question, but it's always interesting to answer it. Thanks for that.

Nothing. Motivation comes and goes. Some days I am motivated, the others I am not. What keeps me going is the clear goals I have in mind, the desire to create something awesome and the guilt I automatically feel when I am not working towards my goals.

Yup, I've felt the same. Sometimes the battery is so charged you can go weeks on work, and sometimes it just takes me half a day to just leave my bed.

I just posted about this on IH. It reached #1 on IH daily. Just reading the comments motivates me 😊

I used to like this quote, now I only think that no one knows what life is and what's the goal of life. Plus, most likely, when you die there's nothing. I think you shouldn't force yourself into doing something you don't like just trying to achieve greatness. Enjoy life, do what feels to be the right thing and try to always be better than yesterday.

I don't want to go into impossible discussions here, but, well:

        when you die there's nothing

You have no idea. Me neither.

no one knows what life is and what's the goal of life

That's true. On the other hand, it means that you can create your own goal. I think it's great. Trying to live as much as you can on your own terms.

you shouldn't force yourself into doing something you don't like just trying to achieve greatness

It depends on your goal and interest. If it makes you happy, why not?

Enjoy life, do what feels to be the right thing and try to always be better than yesterday.
