Screencast tutorial sites
This is the kind of site that I'm currently running and I was definitely inspired by Laracasts to start. Rather than a one-off transaction to buy a course, people subscribe for an unending feed of tutorials related to whatever they're learning.
- Laracasts.com (one of the originals and a huge inspiration)

- Fireship.io (for learning Angular + Firebase)
- Alchemist.camp (my own site for Elixir devs)
Business mentorship sites
Many of these also include a podcast and an "all-you-can-eat" selection of courses.
Not all are indie
Streaming video membership sites are often massive
