What products or subscriptions are you selling on Gumroad or other similar sites?

Hi Everyone,

What products or subscriptions do you sell on Gumroad, Patreon or other similar sites?

Would you be interested in selling your products and subscriptions through in app purchase? So people could buy easily with Apple pay or Android pay?

I have finished my Gatsby Js book and selling it via leanpub. It gets started quickly onto the concepts of Gatsby Js while building an e-commerce website.

I just recently started selling on Gumroad. I posted a dataset of investors with contact details and investment interests. https://gum.co/lKCMC

Would you mind charging your customers 30% extra on iOS? Apple will take that 30%.

I’m selling digital content on Gumroad: https://www.zlides.co/

Do you think my product can be listed via in app purchase?

Yes. I'll give you early access when we are ready :)

It looks like there's a typo near the top "Trused by great companies" - just wanted to give you a heads up.

        Sorry, what do you mean?

          Shouldn't that be "trusted"?

Hey @ndor thanks for spotting an error :)

I don't sell anything on Gumroad (yet) or Patreon but I just have a question about buying with an in-app purchase. You mean through a mobile application downloaded from Google & Apple? As long as you can circumvent legally each stores 30% fee it could be useful to do via a mobile app, best case is to do something like Amazon does with Kindle books bought on mobile I imagine.

Thanks for your response Rene. What if creators charge 30% extra on iOS devices? If you charge $10 on your website, charge $13 on iOS app. I believe Android doesn't charge 30% if we use our own payment gateway (Stripe).

I thought Apple took 30% of the $10 instead of adding it on top. That's why netflix decided to leave the app store.

Nope. They want 30% of the total amount :) That's why Spotify & Netflix doesn't have registration via app.

I know that. I don't think you got my comment. They want 30%. They don't add more. If you sell your app at $10 they want 30%. If you add the $3+$10. Then they want 30% of $13. In your main comment you said "What if creators charge 30% extra on iOS devices? If you charge $10 on your website, charge $13 on iOS app."

Ahh.. I get it. You are correct. We'll ask the customers how much they want to get paid and add 30% on top on iOS. Website and android prices will be 30% cheaper. Do you think creators would be ok with this?

It could work. Ask your possible customers and see what they say. The more projects I do the least I rely in my own assumptions.
