What’s something that you’ve incorporated in your service (post sign-up/use) that’s increased engagement with existing customers?

I’ve started sending out monthly progress reports for my clients (students from my tutoring service) and have seen great engagement via email, increase in word of mouth and even a review!

Not sure if any other tutoring service does this but I’ve come to realise the simple fact that students always want to know how well they’re doing. They want to know that they’re getting to their goal because learning can be long and tedious and little wins are very encouraging! Being reminded or given a visual presentation of their achievement (short term + long term) has been very rewarding for both of us ✨

I wanted to know about something small or big that you’ve done that has surprisingly- or not so much- increased your engagement with your customers!

    Leaderboard? If you want something simple and low maintenance, it has to keep updating by itself, based on data or actions of your customers.

      Student data is private to each student so it wouldn’t be out there on a board for comparison. Everyone’s learning at a different rate and different material.

      Or do you mean have a leaderboard in general?

        Anything, really. As long as it's changing, you can see your position and you can improve your position by doing something. Google some gamification tactics to get ideas. For example:

        • How many consecutive days student logged in.
        • How many minutes of videos student watched, etc.

          Yh I’ve been thinking about using Gamification for sure. Especially since reading about Duolingo’s approach with their learning app which is heavily based on this strategy.

          Might use it for the individual student but not against each other - in a way where they can see how well they’ve done and how they’re improving from yesterday, last week, last month etc
