What techstack should I choose to build a desktop app?

It has been a long time since I made a desktop app (almost 15 years now). What tech stack should I choose if I want to make a desktop app today? I am not interested in technical challenges - I am more interested in making something and getting it to work.

I came across Xojo - anyone here using it? Any other alternatives?
