When a feature just works

Okay, this is probably boring and unoriginal to some, but I'm really happy about how elegantly this worked out. We've been working on our integrations with Trello and other productivity software and, we didn't have checklists. I know... what to do! So we built them. In the process we decided to simplify... sort of.

Rather than having tasks that had checklists and subtasks, let's just let the user "promote" and checklist item into a subtask if they need more attention. The result is really elegant and simple, and now both checklists and subtasks are trackable as you finish them so you can use them as blockers or not. So far we've had about 20 people test the new workflow and really love it. It's a small sample size, but it just clicked when we did it. Thought I'd share. ... and yes, ui still needs more pretty.

It's just real nice when the simple things end up just making sense and feeling solid.
