Where can I make improvements?

What's up IH'ers!

I launched CompetitorZoom.com this week to help SaaS and online service businesses better understand their competitor's operations.

Where do you feel I can make improvement's in the webpage or our value proposition?

What excites you most?

I think number 4, though it may be similar to what spyfu offer?

I think the long term combination of all of these aspects could be huge!

Thanks, @Deweysi, most large enterprises try to collect some sort of data on their competitors, but it's time consuming and an expense to hire an employee-focused on researching their competitors.

We do offer some of what Spyfu offers as we collect data from a competitor of theirs.

Although, we not only provide SEO/backlink information but we also research the messaging in your competitors content, their target audience, provide a pricing comparison to your competitors, a solution analysis to display the features your solution has that other's don't or the features you're missing and more!

Great stuff thanks for the insight. Just to play devils advocate for you, do things like the research of competitors messaging scale? Can this be automated? Just asking to help out more than anything 😀

I think a case study of how a company has used the data that you provide.

If I were to buy this I would first want to see how I would get a return and how other users have successfully used the data.

      Thank you, @NathanGrieve!

These are things I'm working towards providing as soon as possible and am offering discounts to attract our first customers so we can provide this information.

After reading your feedback I will review our web copy and work to better communicate how prospective customers will receive an ROI.

An ROI is gained by having competitor data to improve your sales and marketing operations. Every company is within its own segment of the market and that segment provides advantages to consumers. It may be, "low pricing high value, the most robust solution, or anything in between". Although businesses often don't properly align with their segment and the value they communicate is unclear.

If our data allows you to properly adjust your pricing, build out the features you're missing or improve your marketing strategy to increase sales by 5% what would that mean to you? That is where the ROI is made.

I like the design, but the logo & illustrations seem a bit unprofessional.

The title "Monthly competitor research for online businesses."
"for online businesses" is unnecessary. I think titles are better if they're actionable & start with a verb like "Get monthly competitor research." or "Get a competitor report every month."

I think it'd be better if the main "Get started" button assumes a plan rather than scrolls to plans section. I would make it act like the signup button in the navigation.

If you have some testimonials or social proof, I would add them.

Thank you for your feedback BTW :D Good luck!

      Thank you, @alollou!

I'm working on providing social proof/testimonials as soon as possible.

Appreciate your feedback on the header and "Get started" button. I'll adjust it to be more actionable but I do think it's important to communicate who the service is for.

I used a template for the design, Canva for the logo and ManyPixels for the illustrations. Once we're generating more revenue I will invest in a better website, but for now, this is what we have to get started. Appreciate the feedback and good luck to you as well!

design looks amazing! the whole page looks very professional and i like the colors.

for what i would personally be most excited to receive in a competitor report, it would be #1 and #4.

a few minor pieces of feedback:.

    • on the pricing section, you could display the annual prices as 'per month', so the discount is more clear (e.g. $349 / mo instead of $4189 / yr). since there are no feature differences between the annual and monthly plans, you could just transition the number instead of the whole card. i think this will help highlight the advantage of getting an annual plan!

    • would also recommend starting the pricing toggle on 'annual', since i'm guessing that's the option you want people to buy.

    • i did notice one feature difference between the annual and monthly enterprise plans. the monthly plan has 'Report on 11 Competitors Monthly' but the annual plan has 'unlimited competitors'? is this intentional?

    • i would add expand toggle symbols to the FAQ sections to make it more obvious that they're meant to expand.

    • the button hover effects are inconsistent. some of the buttons darken on hover, some do not.

      Thank you, @pallavi!

I like your idea to display annual pricing by month and starting with the annual card.

I did create the annual enterprise plan as unlimited to incentivize prospects to purchase the annual plan.

Toggle symbols were displayed but they disappear on Webflow sometimes which is weird. It's a webflow template I made some adjustments too so some things may have gotten mixed up in the process.

I'll look into the button effects. Thanks!

      Good point!

Our target audience is SaaS and online service businesses generating $15k+ MRR.

I will take that into consideration and focus our prospecting efforts on businesses who have the budget to afford CompetitorZoom's services.

Although I wouldn't say CompetitorZoom's pricing is anything out of the ordinary it's not for someone who's in the early stage of bootstrapping a startup.
