Which product tagline and why?

Hello Indie Hackers!

Hope you are all doing well 😎

Below are 3 product taglines which I have come up with. Please read each one and let me know which you liked the most (and ideally also why).

  1. Social platform for hungry people in quarantine
  2. Helping everyone order from trending restaurants
  3. Beat the minimum order value by ordering together

The product can be seen here

https://quarantify.com/

Thanks a lot! 🙌

    Hey @tgel0

I like the 3rd tagline, the problem seems strong and can hear the value.

Also agreed with some comments here, your website color needs a huge improve :) Too strong for my eyes.

I also want to hear if you think I need to update my tagline , cheers :)

    1. 1

Thanks, I will definitely look into other color options! Re your tagline I can only really say that it is clear and straightforward, so I guess that's a good thing!

  2. 2

Note to your landing page: Your color scheme is very un-appealing.
I would recommend to try out some themes from https://coolors.co/app, the simply give you 5 colors that work well together and I believe that this could make quite a difference.

Here are some that I found that might work well with food (I imagine that most people go on your website because they are hungry and didnt make the minimum order requirement)

Or, if you think that more people would be interested in using it because it saves CO², this one is more green:

And on another note, make more clear what you are actually solving on the landing page.

Thanks for the suggestion with the color schemes! May I ask if the colors are un-appealing to you for this kind of website or in general?

      1. 1

It is the color scheme in general, no matter if it is on a website or anywhere else.
To be fair though, colors and color schemes are personal preference so this could just be me having a different taste than many people :)

        1. 1

Fair enough! I actually took the current colors from a Dribbble post which I really liked but I'm not 100% sure about it anymore.

Your comment gave me an idea where I could use the current scheme as the "dark mode" and combine it with a lighter alternative option.

  3. 2

@tgel0 could you help me understand the problem that you are trying to solve with quarantify?
I couldn't understand that by looking at the website. We can come up with better tag lines once we understand the motivation behind this.

    1. 1

Thanks for your feedback! Appreciate it!

Quarantify helps with a number of problems with probably the biggest one being ordering from a restaurant with a (high) minimum order requirement. The way I'm solving this is by matching people who live close to each other and want to order from the same place in order to team up for a group order (important: the process of ordering is currently not in scope of quarantify).

      1. 1

Understood, thanks. Just a quick feedback - this messaging needs to be conveyed on the website, I couldn't understand it just by looking at it or through the tagline. Let me know if I can be of any help.
        Thanks.

  4. 2

I like the 3rd one because it will be valid for long term.

  5. 1

I think while the idea might be great, it wasn't clear to me (what you are offering/the solution) when I visited the website.

Thanks for your feedback! TLDR is: you team up with your neighbours to order food for all of you instead of just ordering for yourself. Note: quarantify is currently only about the 'teaming up' part, not the food ordering itself. Does this help?

Agree with @mikestopcontinues, it's not entirely clear how this is helping me as a user/customer.

What is the burning problem that I have right now as your prospective customer that Quarantify will help with? Is it that I can get food delivered in a contactless way? Is this idea only intended to exist while people are in quarantine or will it be around long-term?

      1. 2

Thanks for your feedback! Ideally the product should help with a number of problems with probably the biggest one being ordering from a restaurant with a (high) minimum order requirement. The way I'm solving this is by matching people who live close to each other and want to order from the same place in order to team up for a group order (important: the process of ordering is currently not in scope of quarantify).

However, from the feedback so far it seems like I need to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to communicate this more clearly.

        1. 2

Gotcha. If Quarantify is all about group ordering, then make that the thing that you're talking about. For example, assuming we weren't in quarantine...

"Order your favorite gourmet foods as a group in minutes."

          Vs in quarantine

"Kill the quarantine blues by ordering our favorite gourmet foods with a small group of friends."

Bad examples, but hopefully that gets the point across :p

          1. 1

I definitely see your point but somehow not feeling this "group order" thing. Currently I'm closest to this version actually: "Say goodbye to minimum order values".

            1. 1

Is minimum order value the term that people would use in conversation or to search for a service? That's the thing you want to zero in on.

    2. 2

Thanks for the feedback! Your suggestion is nice but it's actually not really what the product is about. Seems like I still have a lot to do when it comes to communicating the value proposition.
