Why do you compete with friends and family on Fitbit, Apple Watch, strava etc? Why not?

Hey guys,
I am currently doing a bit of UX research to understand why people share their physical activities etc with their friends and family or why not. Do you use it regularly? Has it made a difference to your life? I am excited to hear what you think!

Don't compete per se, but share all my runs on Runkeeper with friends.
Because they gonna give likes, or leave positive/encouraging comments, and positive reinforcement is very important for boring physical activities like running, I need to keep myself motivated.

      Hi Astashov,
That is really interesting thank you for sharing that. It sounds as though Runkeeper really helps you to keep going with an activity that is not very interesting and exciting otherwise, which is great to hear!
