Why I Gave up on my Job Board

Hey fellow IndieHackers!

Main Lessons:

  • Think about first principles first - market, distribution, business model.
  • It is not enough to have a problem yourself to start a product.
  • Use "The Mom Test" practices to validate the idea.
  • If people use your product but don't know anybody who has the same problem as them, there will be no word of mouth.

      Hi Fil! I checked your website, but it is not quite what I need :) I still end up filtering through positions, and in the end, I would have very few jobs worth applying for.

    I think job boards are amazing if you already have a newsletter/audience.

      Hi Volkan! Yes - reactremote.dev, I continue using the extension to speed up the process of filtering. It shows the jobs I applied for.
