Our site (URL is freevolunteering.net) traffic over the last year has dropped and we're trying to rectify.
However, there is one issue that is baffling us, it's how the site is displaying in Google search. Even though all the meta tags and title are correct, it's showing with out them. I have attached a screenshot of how it's displaying.
Anybody seen this happen, any suggestions on a fix?
What is surprising is you don't even have an entry in Google's cache yet you're indexed.
Here's a few things I would look at :
The no cache entry is baffling 🤔 I'll play around with GSC and see can I render there. Thanks for the suggestions 🙂, I'll give them a try.
Tricky question.. I didn't find any obvious problems. Do you use google search console? Do you get any logs / error messages?
Nothing showing up in Google console that would indicate the reason. It was suggested to me that the site might be categorised by Google incorrectly but don't know how I can change that 🤔
It could be that your description is either too short, too short, or deemed poorly written by google standards to want to display it.
Thanks for the idea. I tested and used a new description this week and looks fine, also everything was working fine up to s few months ago. I'll test again.
