agree, I have tortured myself for having bad memory in general, at the same time I'm not an avid reader, once I read Phill Knight's biography (Shoe Dog) and although I don't remember his whole life something that stuck with me was the fact that he decided to travel the world, a year later that's what I did (partially inspired by that book), I moved overseas and lived a couple of years exposed to a different culture and habits, learned and improved my English, the connections we do with books can take us a long way.
I've taken another path: I'm doing mindmaps of stuff I find interesting (many books in there) and I can easily find a specific piece of knowledge if I need it.
It's super easy as well to go in there, find a book I read and just casually going through it in 10 minutes, to just rebuild the paths in my memory which were removed.
I am currently working on hosting my Second Brain that I collect in Joplin. This is what I have so far -> https://rasulkireev.com/brain/. I have yet to group the elements by category, among other things.
I've been getting into a slightly different kind of reading lately. You may have heard of online psychic apps that are of great interest because they provide hours of entertainment and sometimes really help people. You can search here Lux-review.com some applications among which you can choose the one that suits you best.

I highlight on kindle and add notes as I read. These highlights and notes are then automatically extracted from my Amazon account and resurfaced in Readwise. I receive daily emails containing a random selection of my highlights.
It also integrates with a bunch of other sources so I can retain what I read online or listen to in podcasts!
If you have an issue retaining what you read I 100% recommend you check it out.
I try to read or listen to audiobook non-tech and non-entrepreneurship related. Eases the mind
Totally. It's soooo important to get knowledge from different areas.

Thanks for sharing your work. It's very cool.
Nice! I use Joplin too, but only for documenting the processes I might need to do again, in the future.
Taking note is great. I love it. Keep it up!
