Would you pay $32 a month to use Spotify?
No?
Because that would be the equivalent here in Brazil if I had to pay 9.99 USD in Brazilian Real.
However, I pay 16.99 BRL, equivalent to 3 USD.
If Spotify charged exactly 9.99 USD outside the US, here in Brazil we would have to pay 55 BRL.
It would never work.
Not everyone earns a US salary - or equivalent.
So, if you want to have any chance of selling to countries that suffer currency devaluation, you need to implement PPP (Purchasing power parity).
The quickest way is using paritybar.com by @getheadlime.
Before, I was focusing on US/CA/Europe. Now, I'm selling to customers from countries that I didn't imagine would buy from me.
Today I made a sale to Tunisia.

Congrats for your project. How is it working so far? Maybe I'm just sensible, but I find it a bit offensive that someone tells me that I'm poor 😛
Thanks!
It's working great. Sustainable growth each week. Very promising.
The issue is currency devaluation. It has nothing to do with being rich or poor.
but you are saying that I don't have a US salary. (I'm european, but anyway).
If it works maybe it's just me :-P congratulations!
Haha, I got it. Sorry.
It's just because USD are the standard for tech.
So happy you received a sale from a different country! It feels nice when others are able to afford your product :)
Feels really good.
