Xavier Coiffard: "There is no correlation between the time you spend building something and how successful it will be."

I caught up with @Xavier recently on the IndieStack podcast to learn more about his journey in building 6 products in 6 months. Here are some of the takeaways from our short conversation:

⏲️ Xavier is building 6 products in 6 months and that doesn’t leave a whole lot of time for building, shipping and marketing so he ideally creates small products that he can build quickly (<2 weeks) and spends the rest of the time marketing them.

⏳ Adding constraints, like a time constraint, to your building process increases creativity and productivity and helps you ship faster.

📈 At the time of our conversation, his had launched 4 products and had about $2K/month in revenue. Not bad for 4-months worth and virtually no overhead.

👨‍💻 Even though he’s a developer, he uses mainly no code to build his products for the fast development time. He has built products on Notion, Bubble and Webflow.

🗨️ The best quote from the episode: “There is no correlation between the time you spend building something and how successful it will be." Xavier started building small, quick products after a large product failed.

🧐 The indie product and maker he’s most excited about is Slip.so by @kenneth_cassel.
