Zoom meeting notes that don't suck

Zoom meeting notes get messy because the need to start writing quickly is often at odds with an organized system.

My notes got better once I accepted that getting started quickly is actually a good thing. When I start writing quickly by pulling up whatever is most convenient, my teammates have my complete attention. So the key was finding a habit that makes it easy to do some lightweight organizing later.

Bytebase (I'm one of the creators) - handles Zoom meeting notes in two steps.

  1. Dump your notes. It only takes one keystroke (the shortcut q) to jump into a new timestamped meeting note.
  2. Triage into a bucket for safe keeping (also a one keystroke action).

What are your secrets to better Zoom meeting notes?

take a look at the website, I'm more than happy to trade inspirations. I think notes are one thing, but there's whole lot that could be done to make the Zoom meetings not only more useful, but also fun :)

We have just launched and are still exploring use cases and our target groups, having ability to quite quickly add new features to test them in the wild.

    Curious what everyone thinks.
