Getting high quality user feedback was damn hard. Email, survey, cold outreach, or even waiting for user to tell you what they think - it always takes a long time and is unscalable. So I'm building a tool to automate it.

September 30, 2021 A new landing page (and .com domain)

Today I finally finished revamping our beta sign up landing page. It's got a lot more details on what 1Flow does (a lightweight survey tool for collecting user feedback in your product) and it's on a .com domain now.

With this new landing page we'll be able to better explain our product to prospects and get more signups to our upcoming private beta.

It's still pretty new and some links on the page are not linked to other pages (because other pages do not exist yet). I would welcome any and all feedback!

April 21, 2021 Came up with this idea!

I've been an indie mobile app developer / business owner since 2019, and have launched quite a few mobile apps so far. This year, we launched SkyBox Password Manager, SkyBox Scanner AND SkyBlue Ad Blocker for Safari (3 iOS apps in one year!!). One really big pain point for me personally was getting user feedback from people who have downloaded and used my app to learn about what they think, what they liked and didn't like about it, and how to improve. It was basically impossible for me to do it, because I didn't know any of those users - they were acquired through Google Ads and Apple Search Ads! All I could see was numbers on the Mixpanel dashboard (which is a mobile analytics software I was using to keep track of metrics). And then, something hit me all of a sudden...

Wouldn't it be so much better if there is a simple tool for me to insert quick pop-up questions to ask my users, and see in real-time what they think?

That means I wouldn't have to wait for people to write app reviews (which few would do anyways) or wait until someone emails me about their thoughts (which happens once in a million years). I could reach out to my DAUs anytime, anywhere in the app that I see fit.

Okay, it would be even better if I could customize how the pop-ups look to fit my branding and design - otherwise it would be kinda poor UX and seem out of place. Users could even get confused. So good UI / UX is really important for this to work.

Then I did some market research - it seems this concept is called "microsurveys" and it's something that is sometimes mentioned in best practices in product-led growth. Most competitors only offer full-on surveys designed to fit your mobile screen, but they don't really fit my purpose because I need them to be lightweight and minimal, with almost no disruption to the user experience. It's just there to tap on user's shoulders and ask a quick question.

All in all, I think my idea is unique enough and it improves upon the current concepts to make it better. If I can execute this well, it would be a useful tool for many developers / product teams.
