Using partial features without registration

Some people might not want to create an account, because it takes time and effort. Now we have made some of our features free in terms of accessibility. After users install, they can try and experience our application immediately. Once they are satisfied and curious about what further free features are provided, they can register an account for that.

We do the same at cmngsn.com: you can create a website before login in, checking what service can do for a client. According to our analytics, users click to the demo and "try it for free" button, not to register and pay :-)

So true. Just putting yourself viscerally in the shoes of the user who knows nothing about your deeper value: they're gonna churn unless they can taste it to start with! I made this mistake with my webapp recently. I just changed all the content on the /purchase page to not require the user to be logged in. Seems so obvious in hindsight 😅
