Using partial features without registration

selrahc

Some people might not want to create an account, because it takes time and effort. Now we have made some of our features free in terms of accessibility. After users install, they can try and experience our application immediately. Once they are satisfied and curious about what further free features are provided, they can register an account for that.

So true. Just putting yourself viscerally in the shoes of the user who knows nothing about your deeper value: they're gonna churn unless they can taste it to start with! That's cool 👍

We do the same with our editor DeckDeckGo. Anyone can tries it, up to 3 slides, without any special need or registration.

I don't know if it helps or not in terms of conversion, as we don't track or have analytics, but I think it's cool to be able to try something without having to share personal data upfront.
