This was a huge month for us. We pivoted, re-launched, and saw huge growth. And, we made lots of artists really, really happy :)
We sold a record number of artworks - many of them on recurring installment plans - last month. And we got fantastic feedback from our users about our product and our mission.
Also, we didn't spend a single cent on marketing! All of the traffic was organic, from instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, blog posts, and word of mouth.
We took a in a bunch of user feedback and totally revamped our homepage.
Here's what we changed:
And, no more rentals!
We got a strong signal from talking to our users: the biggest value of Art in Res is making fine art easier to buy by breaking up a large purchase into tiny installments.
Hey fellow Indiehackers!
I know there are a handful of services out there for this, and I was hoping some of you might have ideas or opinions about what to look out for or which service to use.
I'm one of the founders of Art in Res -- we're in the early stages of product market fit, but I want some better data around market size, target market, etc. I think a survey would be a pretty lightweight way to get some answers (or at least, point us in the right direction). I'm looking for a solution that is trustworthy and allows me to poll or filter by certain demographic criteria (e.g. location, income).
Any ideas? Cheers!
Finally! We threw a party for our artists and collectors to celebrate and to give them a chance to meet each other for the first time!
Artists started recommending other artists to the platform and uploading more works in anticipating for launch! We hit the 300 mark - many more artworks than we anticipated for our launch.
One of our new artists uploaded a bunch of works to our platform, pushing us over the 100 mark!
It took a while before we had something we felt ready to show artists, but eventually, we did! And we signed up our first artist. It was an exciting day!
