Concentration is Backwards

Tim Reid @tmrd

I've decided to call my platform Backwards. I'll freely admit that this is because I already had bought the domain for a previous project! But the more I think about it, the more I like it.

My previous idea for the backwards domain was to build a service that automatically added events to users' calendars retrospectively. After some research and quick validation I decided not to pursue that idea any further, but I hung on to the domain.

I like the name backwards for a few reasons. Firstly, it's memorable, and easy to brand. I've already had a few ideas for playing with the name in marketing comms.

Secondly, it doesn't describe the service specifically, which may be suitable if my initial service matures into a more comprehensive platform.

Thirdly, it has a couple of interpretations. Broadly it describes the action of turning around as you meet distractions to head back to the true path. It is also suggestive; that the current thinking about productivity is backwards.

So it's called Backwards, and we have a nice domain to play with. But I still haven't said what it actually does!
