Helps artists & creatives grow their businesses
Artists and creatives love certain parts of their business - creating the work, interacting with fans and clients, and making a positive change on the world. The business stuff? Not so much. That's why we made Benchmark
It's been months in the making, but Benchmark App is FINALLY live and out in the world.
It's a business intelligence tool made for founders and creators like those here on Indie Hackers.
It will help you grow your business and focus on the most important needs at any given time.
It's not perfect, but it's officially "shipped", and I couldn't be more happy that we got to this milestone.

Check it out and give it some love on PH if you think it's deserving!
Thanks to a recommendation from Indie Hackers, we found a no-code developer who can build V1 of our app using Bubble!
We had our first weekly meeting today and my smile was huge the entire hour. It's so cool to see something go from an idea in your head to something that actually looks and acts like a real app.
Up to this point, our "beta" version has been a spreadsheet that you can download and use on your own, but that has a ton of inherent problems - easy to break, no updates, daunting to look at, etc.
Going the no-code route has helped us move into developing the app sooner than we'd thought at 1/10th the cost. We should have the core of the app build by the end of February, and will be able to add the subscription layer in March along with a few other "phase 2" features.
Exciting times ahead!
(For those interested, the website is http://benchmark.app, and anyone that purchases the beta version gets LIFETIME access to the app when it becomes a monthly subscription (valued at $180/year).
Let me know if you have any questions!
We've been really stuck on how to get more awareness and traffic to our new company. The thought about a month ago was to create a podcast/show, where we could talk directly to our audience through a guest, and then use the product to get them a breakthrough in their business.
I recorded the first three episodes last week, and released the first one today! It feels exactly how I hoped - a great conversation highlighting a creative friend, and were able to get to some breakthroughs for the guests.
You can watch the first episode of the new show here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/f4UQsKOj9DU
A few months into quarantine and getting furloughed from my job, my youngest brother Michael came to me with a request to "start a business together".
"What do you want to do?" I asked...
He didn't know.
Within a few weeks I had a "lightbulb moment" where I could take what he's good at - finance and analytics for large companies - and marry that with a huge need that artists and creatives had.
That need? To better understand what's really going on with their business so that they could understand how to start with a great foundation, how to fix the cracks that appear in that foundation, and how to grow a business on top of it.
That's where the idea for Benchmark app came from.
Thanks for following along!
