Started my idea

It was the day after halloween when I sat down to write the first line of code for CartQL. At it's core it's a simple MongoDB database that handles calculations for cart anonymous items.

I had the idea of CartQL back in 2017 but later ditched the idea because I was under the impression people wanted an all-in-one platform for their commerce needs.

I was wrong. The rising trend of "best of breed" solutions allows developers to piece together the industries very best search, PIM, and now cart APIs together to build their dream website or app.

I'm a huge advocate of GraphQL, so it was only natural that I decided my idea GraphQL based.
