We started with the idea mid-June, and validated the idea in late June. But since then, we've ran into some brick walls. I think some of it was a bit of fear, wondering whether it would even work out. And some of it was not trusting in the positive reception we received when trying to validate the product on Reddit.

But then a few days ago, I read this tweet by James Clear, which has since been deleted.

The tweet said: "When struggling to start, work on a smaller part. When struggling to finish, ship a smaller whole."

That tweet resonated with me and got me fired up. So on the morning of Aug 19th, we buckled down and asked ourselves, "What's the simplest form of this product that we can ship?"

Then we got to it.

We were worried that we are targeting a segment that we cannot reach, and were considering to pivot already a week following our PH launch.

But guess what, we received our first payment today!

This is encouraging news but by no means this one order validates our product market fit.

Came up with the idea while trying to fall asleep. I remember reading an article by Ben Thompson on "The Aggregation Theory". What I concluded from the article is that: business that aggregate useful services, products, or info for consumers are big winners in this day and age. For example, Zillow aggregates home prices, Facebook aggregates social data, and Amazon aggregates products and stores. My friend Matt also created a product that aggregates the contact info of journalists. So I thought to myself, "What other kind of resources, when aggregated, could be useful?" And podcaster data just popped into my head. Then I hit up @derickchenyr & CastChamp was born.
