First paying customer!

I'm so happy to announce that finally I can monetize Charts Factory!

I was thinking to change my yearly plan to monthly but I saw that somebody living in USA subscribed for yearly plan.

There were buy me a coffee link before and some people had bought me 4 coffees but that was not monetizing at all :)

It gave me courage to develop more features for Charts Factory and more web apps!

Thank you my first paying customer, whoever you are!

    Congrats! First of many! 👌👌👌

Well done! The first deal always makes us so excited. I had the same feeling a while ago.

  3. 2

    congrats! great looking app too.

  4. 2

    Woohoo!
    Congratulations! 🙌

  5. 2

wow congrats, are you doing marketing? what's your secret?

    1. 1

      Thank you man!
I have no experience on marketing. I need to learn it. I need to delete free text with strikethrough for example :/

  6. 2

    Congratulations! 🎉

I am a bit confused by the hero text: Create simple charts super fast and for ~~free~~ just $11.99/year!. What is the point of the strikethrough free text? It makes it feel like it should be free, but it costs money for some reason?

    1. 2

      Good point.
As a hypothetic customer I see it as it was free, but became so cool that it's not, anymore :)

      1. 2

Which is very strange imo. Usually products go the other way around (start as being premium and then they switch to free). It feels like I lost my chance to get the product when it was free, so I already have a negative feeling for the product.

        1. 2

Totally agree. It is not a good idea to show it was free before.
It gives the impression that the product is low value and doesn't deserve to be paid for.

          1. 2

Hey but what if we are testing it out. Is it always important to charge right from the beginning?

      2. 1

Yes, it was free from the begining. That's a huge marketing mistake :/ I will remove the free text and add free subscription option today. That was a mistake.

  7. 2

That is awesome dude! keep it up!!

  8. 2

Congratulations, I know that feeling 🙂

  9. 2

Congrats! 💪 Now take this motivation and keep building on it. Wish you many more paying customers to come.

Also, I'm adding Charts Factory to the tools section both on the website (currently developing) and for the next week's Sunday edition of Remote Jobs Center, that's started publishing today.

      Thanks Bora!

Thank you for adding Charts Factory to Remote Jobs Center's newletter! I hope that your product succeeds more!

  10. 2

    Congrats, happy for you!

  11. 2

Yes! Yes! Yes! Congratulations to you! 🎉

The best proof that you've made something valuable.

    1. 1

Thank you for your good words man!

That's so encouring. It's the first step, I need to develop my marketing skills - which is 0 right now - and reach more people who are willing to use Charts Factory.

  12. 2

The best milestone! Onwards and upwards from here.

A question - have you jumped straight to only having paid options? No trial? I'm just curious about that decision.

    1. 1

      Thank you!

Charts Factory was a free web app for over a year so I decided to have only paid options from now on.
Don't know if it's a good idea to not have a free trial. Guess we will find out soon. I have no marketing experience and learning :)
