Introduced Free Plan

When I first launched Claritask I offered a super limited free trial with the goal to serve big corporations. That didn't pan out so well, since I don't have that many contacts in big corp and sales cycles are just so long.

So I came back full circle and repositioned Claritask as a tool for people like me: founders, makers, bootstrappers.

With that in mind, I introduced a very generous Free Plan that can help anyone manage their product/project, especially when cash is tight and we stray away to incur any additional charges.

Free plan details here: https://claritask.com/pricing

What humanity needs is more love and respect <3

No offense mate. I am just trying to figure out why todo lists are so popular nowadays. There is a ton of them and they keep appearing every month.

Thanks for the follow up man / I get that question a lot : ) and it gets to me, I can't lie

I can tell you the reason why I built it: I love project management and I've been doing it forever with my consultancy, now with building Claritask. I love solving the problem of getting something out of the door quick and having everyone know what needs to get done. These are my excuses : )

And yes, there are a ton of new ones out there... even VC backed, which is bananas, considering there are so many apps in that vertical already.

I'm enjoying bootstrapping it, improving it almost daily, and selling it to one new buyer at a time. Hopefully the selling part scales a bit, so I can build it more sustainably, which is seems to be looking better since my price changes (more affordable for smaller groups) and the introduction of the free version.

          Time will tell

            Got it.
I am asking because I also have an idea in very saturated niche (Budget planner). But I just can't to break the "wall" like you did.

I aware competitors have a lot of features I am not able to build at start. And some questions always haunt me:
Why should users switch to my product and how I will promote this high competitive niche product.

Have you had similar questions in your head before you started?

            Btw the website looks great.

Thanks @dimatall / just noticed this follow up

One thing that helped me and is still helping me is documenting my journey/build/story in the open. Via my podcast, twitter, blog, Email. Just to get people to know that there's a "real" person behind the product. Not some cut-throat business just wanting to make revenue at any cost.

Also, you'd be surprised how current market leaders are not solving some crucial parts of what users need. And "user needs" are always evolving. Big players cannot move as fast as we can. We can quickly make a feature. They are more risk-averse and this is where we can win.

One thing that is helping me now is constantly learning what big players are not supporting. Something that is so crucial that they are not building. And then talking to people about it constantly.

It's definitely hard. Still. But, I care a lot about Claritask and that keeps me going. So I didn't pick this product/industry just because it made sense financially. I really care about project/product management and people doing that job. I was doing that job in my previous profession. And the reason I say all this is because, this "interest in the actual person behind using the product" is what helps when things get tough.

Your website has a very interesting aesthetic. I'm curious how you decided to go with this design rather than a traditional SaaS design? Would you recommend something unique like this?

Thanks @memn0nis! I've gotten a ton of great comments on it. It's working for me so far.

I like the design. Better to have this kind of design than something indistinguishable! I would say, it has a lot of... clarity 🤓
