Your Lab in the Cloud - Low cost Nextcloud hosting
My goal is to provide low cost cloud solutions to everybody based on open-source solutions.
Cloud Home Lab just got it's first annual paying customer of means a revenue of €100.
Altough the site gets a steady daily visits of around 20~30 visitors, the conversion into paying customers has been slow.
I believe that my marketing message is not correctly targeting my desired user base, so that will be my next focus point.
Today I just notice that Cloud Home Lab is showing on the first page of Google Search results if you search for 'Cloud Home Lab'.
The goal as always to provide products based on open-source software and at the most possible low cost bur still value products so that anyone could enjoy having cloud services.
The first one is Nextcloud hosting but more to come in the future.
Going live with the website and Nextcloud server. Learned alot about deploing Django applications with Gunicorn and with Nginx (with Let's Encrypt SSL)
Also started an add campaing on Google Ads, so far it as landed consistent daily views but very few signups.
So far the only marketing that as been done is with Google Ads.
This brings in a constant daily flow of around 100-150 views, and so far 10 signups.
But only now there was the first signup for a subscription plan.
I think that I need to improve the sales pitch on the website.
