August 1, 2020 Colors & Fonts - Analytics are open to anyone.

Hello everyone,

When I removed GA some months ago, I moved to NETLIFY analytics, because Colors & Fonts was hosted there.

But I wanted to be more transparent, so here we go.

I moved all my side-projects to PLAUSIBLE, because I can share the dashboard and make it public.

So go ahead and have a look to them.

Why am I doing this?

Well, first of all tt bothers me the idea of being tracked, and am I sure that there's more humans with the same thoughts.

I value privacy, and this kind of tools, like Colors & Fonts shouldn't even use analytics like GA. Is not needed if the apps are free...and made for the users.

Don't hesitate to comment or ask me anything regarding the project, just go ahead.

You can contact me on

My side projects:

And if you want to get a bunch of resources, tools and articles on your inbox every Tuesday.

I have a free newsletter for that. You can subscribe or simply read it on the browser because is on substack.

Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!

May 13, 2020 Reached 800 subscribers. Made new tools.

 Landing

Hello everyone,
I am happy to say Colors & Fonts newsletter has reached 800 subscribers, and it feels good really good.

From 700 to 800 it took me more than it normally takes, but I know why.
I have not made content to drive traffic to it, because I was busy working on the redesign and making new pages to add, it took me more than I thought it could.
Taking into account that I am going solo and I work on the site only at night and mostly 4 hours... I am fine.

So,... I also redesigned the newsletter and it has been working

Like this

You can see it here

It's been also added a Variable font picker where you can preview google fonts and exclusive fonts, the Google Fonts are available to download and a link to the license, but the exclusive ones, you have a link to where you can get them. This last links are not affiliates. Also a tiny markdown cheat-sheet and copy-paste glyphs.

 The glyphs

 The variable fonts

 The markdown

If you have feedback is always welcome.

Have a great day and stay safe.

( I do not get my images to world....)

March 30, 2020 Reached 700 subscribers with a coming soon banner.

So Colors & Fonts has just reached 700 subscribers, pretty good right?

The last two weeks brought in around a hundred with a coming soon CTA around the site.
You can see ot hete.

Why a coming soon?

I am redesigning, removing some of the pages including the landing page it was getting too messy.
You can see how is going here.

Also I am creating a new newsletter.

I am accepting sponsorships too.

Have a great one and thank you for reading.

If you want to know how to apply a color palette through a design system you can do it by subscribing to a newsletter that I am sending every 2 weeks. https://www.colorsandfonts.com/n... ( 400+ subs )

This is how it works.

Color Schemes.
The color schemes that we are gonna work on are based on the ones in Colors & Fonts. We are going to take a Design system and apply the chosen color palette.

UI.
The color will be presented on a Design System including buttons, forms, inputs, and components.

Files.
You will be able to copy to Figma and .fig file.
Also, you get a SASS and JS file with the variables to download from GitHub if you want to implement the colors right away.

I hope you are satisfied with all the new features and the upcoming ones. Let me know what you think and if you have any request do not hesitate to tell me.
Have a great day everyone and thank you for being there...!

First launch on ( https://www.producthunt.com/post... )

Have a great Day !

February 4, 2020 300 Subscribers accomplished.

So yeah, as the title says the newsletter has 300 Subscribers. I know is not a huge number...but...

Taking into account that it started on 19 of December and I have barely done nothing to get them is pretty much a milestone for me.

They kept coming in maybe 5 or 6 daily more or less, then I posted <a href="https://dev.to/michaelandreuzza/i-have-put-together-a-file-with-color-and-typography-styles-for-web-developers-and-digital-designers-it-s-free-t-use-and-copy-30go">this</a> on DEVto. This figma file has been used by more 200 users.

This post brought in 127 subscribers and since then it has been growing. And the file I made it months before the newsletter and website.

Then, something that it actually helped to leak more subscribers was to read @harrydry 's <a href="https://marketingexamples.com/conversion/email-subscribers">article</a>...

Now there's a CTA in the navbar in every page, a subscribe box in every footer with the test:

" Join hundreds of designers and developers receiving color palettes by example twice a week. "

The buttons for the newsletter has a color gradient that resembles diamonds, and it feels good to click it.

There is also a landing page, explicit for the newsletter, where it explains everything about how it works.

I am also linking to Figma for those that don't use it. So there's no excuse :-) to not join.

While I have experienced less traffic than pasts weeks due to my just playing around with the UI and messing all up, subscribers grew.

I changed the UI to almost how it was, but now it looks much better, and it has got some more personality. I am getting there and this proved that I should not have touched the ui.

Thank you for reading and have a great one.
