Your On-demand Marketing Mentor & Consultant
I'm passionate about supporting start-ups with their marketing efforts.
Seems that IndieHackers data is slightly delayed but, getrhys.com just hit $6,000 MRR.
Genuinely though, I need to take a step back now and figure out how to scale this further as I'm still currently a one-man team dealing with 15 clients.
If anyone knows a SaaS marketing/growth consultant looking for work, do let me know :)
Well, I just hit $4,000+ MRR.
It's crazy, to be honest, my target just under a year ago was well below this, literally half of it so, I think it's time to take a step back and figure out how to take this to the next stage.
I'll do a write up on the things I've learnt from $0-$4K soon.
So, I’ve finally decided to launch 101 ways to get new users & clients on ProductHunt.
Trust me, I know not to depend on ProductHunt but, I feel like this is the right time to attempt to try and launch this product as there has been an influx of newcomers to this world of Indie Makers and many are still trying to understand how to acquire their first users or clients.
Anyway, I’d really appreciate any honest feedback on the launch.

Finally, I've just completed 101+ Ways To Get New Users & Clients Online + the landing page.
Also, just launched the Gumroad page: https://gum.co/5u4a
Any honest feedback for me, please?
It's crazy because, I haven't pushed any marketing at all for this.
I just simply added https://getrhys.com/101 to getrhys.com as a button. I wanted to see how it would look once I decide to make it live.
Anyway, within 4 hours, I got my first pre-order from someone I'd never spoke to, met or knew before.
It looks like someone clicked my website link in my Twitter bio and then found the page themselves.
I'm consistently growing my MRR but, this organic one-time purchase has probably been my best success so far.

As I'm currently fully booked by 10 SaaS companies with a reasonably sized waiting list even if someone does decide to drop off, I've decided to launch a file/spreadsheet of 101+ ways to get new customers online.
Currently, all orders are pre-orders but, I've already managed to secure a few through my personal network.
You can view the landing page and a sample here: https://getrhys.com/101
I expect the file/spreadsheet to be ready late December.
Why have I decided to do this?
I'd love some feedback on the LP if anyone has 2 minutes to spare.
By the way, I know I need a new, more professional headshot.
So, GetRhys.com (originally Consultily) has now reached $2,500 MRR.
It has taken a while to reach this but, as I can only actually take on 10 clients at a time and my churn is 10%, it's been really difficult to increase my MRR.
But, anyway, I did it.
GetRhys has just one slot left so it's not really my focus anymore.
My focus is on utilizing my network and building Contentago.com (an on-demand platform for SaaS content writers) so, I wouldn't expect much further growth from this but, I'd love to try and hit $3,000 MRR by the end of the year.
Finally decided to go public with the revenue and growth for https://getrhys.com (was Consultily) on IndieHackers.
I can't seem to embed an image on milestones so, you can jump to the screenshot here if you're interested: https://twitter.com/consultantrhys/status/1313104339548999683
Why? I felt the need to show that I practise what I preach. I'm essentially mentoring my clients to grow their business so, why not also show that I'm growing my own?
Obviously, the growth here isn't huge but, please all remember I can only take 10 clients on at any single time and I've been fully booked for the last 3 months so, growing revenue is even harder but, through CRO, marketing and word of mouth, I've been able to charge more.
So, after implementing a waiting list on https://consultily.com as I'm currently busy with other client work and then posting a huge update about Consultily here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/i-failed-for-6-months-straight-and-then-achieved-2k-mrr-in-less-than-15-days-1af788f018
Overnight, my waiting list has blown up.
I must add, the first couple of businesses on the list were referrals.
So, that's 10 businesses currently/possibly waiting for consulting from myself.
Today, https://consultily.com received it's first 3 written testimonials 🎉
I'm quite pumped, as the concept of Consultily is to help and support start-ups (what I enjoy) and it seems we're doing just that.
As we currently don't have a system in place to request written reviews, instead just rating-based reviews (we're still an early-stage start-up) it was scary having to request these manually.
Anyway, here they are...
"Consultily has been a pleasure to work with, regardless of the situation or request thrown at them! Really useful insights in all situations."
"I have personally used Consultily for quite some time now with many of my start-ups. If you’re reading this and are on the edge of starting your trial, this is your sign to do so."
"Consultily have been wonderful to work with. Together we've validated our core marketing strategies including A/B testing on various channels. Great service!"
