$6,500 earning and 1000+ users in 6 days (toZERO)

Hi,

I am Tolga. A product designer and developer and founder of customico.com, mastermind.vision

I want to share with all you my happiness and how I earned $6,500 in 6 days.

For a long time, I wanted to catch the trend and put forward a successful project.
... when Apple first announced the Big Sur OS system, I said: "that's it!" and started designing minimalist icons for Mac OS.

However, I soon learned that the default system icons were not changed in Big Sur (shit). And I deleted the project. This was a complete disappointment!

What happened next? A miracle happened and I found out that in iOS 14 can change app icons indirectly.

This was truly a miracle for me, I could do what I wanted to do! (In a bigger market YAY!)

I suspended all my work and arranged a redbull night (no sleep) and more than 110 icon designs in one night:

• Icon set design (multiple color and more than 110)
• Website design
• Front-end development
• Backend integration (wordpress)
• Stripe setup & integration

In just one night! This is madness! I've never been so tired but I shouldn't miss the trend.

24 hours later I finished everything and only shared it on twitter.

Nobody cared for the first hour! Disappointment ... I thought I was wasting my hours...

and then 2-3 users purchased my icon set every few minutes.

This was surprising. I've never been this excited. I was expecting this but still surprised. That night I kept sharing it with people on Twitter. I asked a few of my friends to share customico.

• I've sold over $ 500 in total within 24 hours.
• In 6 days this number has doubled and I have earned $6,500+ so far.

I know this is a temporary trend. But watching the stripe notifications is really motivating! Everybody is happy.

I'm still working on new icon sets. Several users join every 10-15 minutes. You cannot know without experiencing this excitement.
