Build a functional, feature-filled website with no code.
Shorten the process of creating and launching a website.
The past month was a busy month for myself outside of anything related to my website builder. Threw a party and enjoyed ife.
Now in relation to the builder. I've added a few new features to make building even easier such as auto layout adjustment when changing font changes and the ability to add space between any bit of content.
The biggest change was related to the algorithm of how auto mobile layout works. Now, you can count on being able to 100% place elements anywhere and have it still auto sort itself on mobile.

I can't believe I have been working on this project everyday for the past 9 months. I would have never thought a year could pass by so quickly.
I spent some time today re-doing the homepage. I decided I wanted to opt for a white background instead of a purely dark website.
You can check it out here: https://www.customsitenow.com
No new paying users, same statistics as July's report. I have not advertised so I mean I shouldn't expect anything new. I will be working on advertising from here on.
220 users
6 paying customers
It's been around 3 months since I have launched customsitenow and I am happy with the progress.
+100 users (200ish total)
+4 paying customers
A customer called me and told me that my website builder was simple enough for her to use amongst many things.
This post is celebrating 0 customers leaving and me fixing a whole lot of bugs these past few months.
As this website builder is new, It is lacking in certain features but rest-assured they will all be added in due time. I am glad to be apart of the website builder competition.
This morning I had my first client call with a lovely lady who was referred by someone else to my website. The chat went well and I explained a bunch about my website builder, her goals, and whether or not the service is right for her. In the end, she liked what she saw and purchased a plan.
Later today I received 2 more paying users after getting home. All by referral from existing users. I'm hearing from one user that they have a few more people interested. Which is fantastic.
I purposely haven't been advertising because there are a few lingering bugs related to mobile and images that I would like fixed before I officially launch.
Current statistics:
Users: 96
Paying Users: 4 (Pretty much all by word of mouth/refferal)
Days since soft launch: 20
The future is looking bright but we will see how things continue to pan out. Once I finish fixing all the bugs and implementing the remaining features that I want added, I will launch on Product Hunt. So around next month.

After what feels like forever, I finally reached the point where I have released the base version of customsitenow to a few people that I know in real life. I will be launching to my email listing today and hoping I can get valuable feedback on their experience using the builder.
Customsitenow is a website builder that was built to make building pages even easier for unexperienced users but still provide users with 100% freedom over the layout of their page.

After displaying a few previews on reddit, I was able to gather a lot of users who are interested in the Website Builder I built. I should preface this by stating I do have a larger list of 600 but it's a older list when I was advertising the idea much longer ago. I decided to create a list with a newer audience.
I've also had people who are currently using other platforms reach out to me willing to pay once I get up and running. My hard work may end up paying off.
First and foremost, I built this tool for myself to speed up development and remove the dreadful process of having to design and code separately. I love to do both but when your constantly making sites, the process becomes real repetitive.
Other Website Builders exist but they do not give you the same level of freedom in terms of creativity. You are locked to positions on the canvas whereas my builder allows you design just like in tools like Adobe XD and Framer.
My idea was to combine them together, and make the process easy enough for anyone to use.
The key thing that my website builder does different is it's super easy to use, and you only have to design for desktop view. It will automatically look good on all displays. You can publish your creation in seconds to your own domain or my hosted domain. The best part of all is, No code needed but you do have the ability to edit the html, css, and javascript.
For those who do not know, this is my auto responsive drag and drop website builder.
For the past week, I focused on making sure the page responsiveness was correct. In the video below, you can see the current state.
There are mobile Artboards that you can use to design a mobile view page if you choose to but it's not required for a responsive site.
Using the builder is super simple. Drag anywhere without limitations, edit and Publish. There is no complexities.

Since then I have been working on a variety of different projects which I also have on indiehackers on display. I would work on customsitenow in between any free time that comes up.
I've made a lot of progress throughout the past few months and I wanted to share a small demo gif showing some of what's capable as I wanted to keep the gif short but not ultra-instinct fast where you can't see everything.
A website builder designed to be minimalistic and easy to use for those who are not tech-savvy but also do not want to spend a lot of time learning how to use common website builders like Webflow. Think super fast. Simply edit, start from scratch or modify a template and click Publish. No complicated tools, methods. No restrictions. Simply Drag, Drop & Edit things where they are placed.
Here's an overview of Customsitenow and it's features:
You are able to import both the html & css files directly to customsitenow and continue to update the site; but now it will be hosted on our platform. There is no exporting as of right now and custom js files are not yet supported. (I am working on it).
One thing I dislike about some visual page editors is that you do not have the option of using dark mode(looking at you adobexd). Dark mode was a feature I always wanted so I made this builder default palette one that is dark from the start.
There are just a few things remaining until I am ready to release the product. Such as clearing up any remaining bugs, building the new website with the website builder itself, and finishing/testing the grid system.
If your interested in knowing when it's available the moment it is, you can subscribe to my email listing: http://eepurl.com/hq8h65
sidenote:
Something important is that the goal was to build myself a website builder that I would use. So even if this makes no sales; it's a piece of software that I will be using over Adobe XD for all my future websites as the process of coding everything is too slow and repetitive.
As I stated before, I am building a new website for this project from within the project so there is no website as of right now but the domain is: https://www.customsitenow.com
