We all need to have analytics in our website, but we don't have time to look at it. Email reports are pretty basic for all of the main players here (GA, and other privacy-friendly providers), that's what Dailytics solves

March 25, 2023 Got accepted in the Slack App Directory!

This week Dailytics got accepted in the Slack App Directory. It took me some time and further discussions in the team in order to be fully compliant with their policies but finally got accepted.

I'm not sure what to expect and I prefer to keep expectations low, but right now, if you look for "Plausible", "Pirsch", "Fathom" or "Simple Analytics" there, Dailytics will be only option they offer!

Of course, for "Google Analytics" there are a few already.

Does anyone else have previous experience with this App Directory?

Let's see how this evolves.

Cheers!

November 29, 2022 New version of the app :)

Just launched the mayor update to the internal app (the one the users use). In terms of the product, we added a new concept: Spaces. It's basically your team, users can now invite other users to collaborate in their reports.

We also added a few (and fun) technical upgrades, like:

  • Latest Ruby on Rails / Hotwire version
  • Migrated to TailwindCSS (from vanilla CSS)
  • Migrated to ERB templates engine (from Haml)
October 7, 2022 Just launched a website redesign!

I wanted to add information regarding the new slack integration and... yes, I couldn't resist the idea of building everything again, from scratch.

This time, I used BridgetownRB with TailwindCSS (and a little bit of Stimulus JS) and based everything on a base design made by @Michael_Andreuzza a few weeks ago. Thanks for that!!!

I believe I'll be adding more detailed pages like "Plausible Analytics on Slack" in the near future to improve SEO.

September 26, 2022 Slack integration!

We just rolled out a highly requested feature: the Slack integration.

Now you can get your GA, Fathom, Plausible, Pirsch, or Simple Analytics report right in your Slack workspace.

We'll use the same widgets you created for your email report, but translated into the Slack blocks system.

October 27, 2021 New integration alert: Simple Analytics!

It's time to announce the integration of another big player in the privacy-friendly analytics field.

I'm super excited to say that, starting this week, you will be able to generate a daily/weekly/monthly report based on your Simple Analytics data (https://simpleanalytics.com).

To catch up, remember that Dailytics works well with Fathom, Plausible, Pirsch and Simple Analytics now (yes! it also works with GA).

October 1, 2021 Pirsch Analytics integration!

A few weeks ago I posted here askig for Fathom Analytics users that wanted to try out the last integration (see previous update). I didn't get any Fathom user but I did get a very interesting comment: @m5blum reached to my introducing their product, Pirsch Analytics.

Pirsch is another privacy-focused alternative to Google Analytics and I really liked their product, their vision, the team's attitude and - most importantly - their API. So I decided to build a new integration into Dailytics.

It's live already, so you are invited to try that out :)

You can learn more about Pirsch here:

August 24, 2021 Fathom Analytics integration!

One year ago I started wondering about how could life be without Google. Google is everywhere! So I started by Google Analytics. I found many alternatives out there but there were only two really well done solutions: Plausible and Fathom.

Today, I can say that Dailytics works nicely with both of them :)

June 15, 2021 Visualise up to 3 traffic sources or page paths!

You can now set up to 3 different series (lines in the chart) and filter each of them by page path or source. You can visualise:

  • the traffic from "Google", "Twitter", and "Newsletter"
  • the traffic to "/search" compared to "/product/[0-9]*"
  • the traffic to "/cart", "/payment" and "/thanks" (a funnel)

May 10, 2021 We've got 4 paying customers so far.

It's been something like 6 weeks since we discontinued the free plan. In that moment we had 120 users on that free plan and we moved them to a 30-day trial. From those 120 users, only 3 switched to a paying plan.

To be honest, I was expecting a higher number of activations, but it doesn't matter: having 3 people seeing the value of Dailytics was fair enough.

Well, today we've got a fourth paying customer and with a higher plan (Plan Studio). They are an Agency and will be sending reports from Dailytics to their clients, that's one of the main use cases of Dailytics so I'm super happy for that :)

March 24, 2021 The end of the free plan.

After more than 4 years of providing a free service to more than 500 users, I have decided that the free plan is going to be discontinued today. You can imagine the amount of time, energy and money that I've invested in this project so I believe it's time to start looking at it more seriously.

I'm not going to lie - it would be amazing if you decide that Dailytics is valuable enough for you, your team or your customers and decide on a paid plan, but I'll totally understand if you decide to stop using Dailytics.

That is part of the email I sent yesterday to all active users. Let's see what happens now :)
