Our community now has a home on GitHub!
We are going to support soon custom users' and community's templates in our web editor, therefore it felt natural and useful to create an org for the templates and tools driven by the developers and maintainers 🚀.
It contains currently three templates and one experiment and, we hope that in the future, through our upcoming new feature, more great projects will be shared 🤞.
Two months ago we released a major breaking change and today we double down just before Xmas 🎄.
This release aims to split the static content of our editor. That way, the landing page, rebuild from the ground up is not part of the application itself anymore. In addition, it adds the foundation to translate our platform in the future.
Merry Christmas and all the best for 2021.
Take care and stay safe.
P.S.: I tweeted about it, spread the word 🙏.
Our editor for slides is now available in the Microsoft Store too 🥳.
We develop our apps with the web but it is kind of cool to be able to publish our PWA in both the Microsoft Store and Google Play anyway and with the exact same code base.
In addition, it doesn't need much effort because the PWA Builder really ease the all process and for free, so kudos to them 👍.
If you've got any questions, let me know, happy to share my experience if it can help.

I read the accumulated number of anonymous and registered users twice but indeed, as of this week, there are now more than 10k people who have used or tried out DeckDeckGo, the open source editor for slides 🥳
Moreover, we reached this milestone without a single penny invested in ads 💪.
Even though numbers are not what's drive me, as I am more attached to being close to our small community and developing unique features, it definitely makes me happy to notice our small growth path.
Thanks everybody 🙏.
P.S.: We don't have analytics, but I find these numbers in the Firebase Auth console, corresponding to the sum of anonymous and registered users.
Deploying presentations as Progressive Web Apps is cool, right?
But you know what's cooler?
We are really super excited about this new feature. It embraces our open source spirit and it just makes sense to our eyes, it is your decks, your content.
So, do you like this new feature? Would you use it? Do you see any potential? Or have any ideas of improvements?
Let me know what you think about it!
And if you notice any issue, report it in our tracker, it is always open 😉.
To infinity and beyond!
It's astonishing how much the look and feel of presentations vary, even within the same company. Templates, formatting, color palettes, fonts, logo - you name it, they are never the same across two decks.
That's why we think, DeckDeckGo can help businesses apply their corporate identity and design across all their presentations and assist them secure their distribution and maintenance.
If this resonate with you or company, get in touch!
We just released the 2nd version of DeckDeckGo, a web open source editor for presentations.
Among many new features, it notably introduces:
These improvements have been made, of course, also available for our developer kit.
Following last year's introduction of deckdeckgo.com, our web open source editor for presentations, one of our community's most requested feature was being able to work offline.
Today we are finally able to unleash such feature for our community.
Moreover than being able to present slides offline, editing will also remain possible.
Kind of fun to think that such an offline mode is developed with web technologies 😃.

It's a fun project to learn and improve my skills. It's also really interesting to share and exchange with the open source community.
