2000 visitors on our website!

Today we have crossed our first 2000 visitors on our prelaunch landing page and I'd like to share a few insights with you.

Our 5 main traffic sources are

  1. IndieHackers
  2. Direct
  3. Facebook
  4. Twitter
  5. Google

Audience Insights:

  • 85% are male.
  • 60% are 25-34 yo
  • We are reaching technophiles and value shoppers.

Geos:
USA 27%
UK 14%
UA 7%
CA 6%
India 4%

Desktops are 49% and mobiles are 47%.

So 2000 visitors is not an impressive number, but we believe it's a huge step having only a landing page and very few paid traffic.

I believe we will double or even triple it as soon as our blog will be finally online.

Yooo congrats! Glad indiehackers is so helpful. Just wondering how long it took to gain the 2000 visitors? I'm trying to gauge when thegoodstartup.com will reach 2000 :)

      Hi Le,
We installed our GA tracking code on 10th of August. So it took us 18 days.
I'd like to mention that our main goal was to get relevant beta users and not just site visitors.

Same here, how long did it take?

      Hi Brian,
Yes, this is really interesting. As I can see those are brand keywords.

Can you share the steps you took in order to reach this milestone?

      Hi Ankur,

      1. Created landing page.
      2. Created accounts on IH, PH, dev.to, etc.
      3. Tested different things, but still IH is our main channel.

Your goal was to get beta testers, how did that work out for you until now?

      Hi Andy,

That's a tough question. We tried to get relevant users only.
It will be clear after we launch a product.

Would love to know more about distribution channels. Any interesting insights there?

IndieHackers is our number one for the moment.
We stopped paid ads until we have a working product.
Plan to focus on content marketing in the near future.

Thank you for sharing this. Content marketing strategy is a way to go.

Check out https://getarmada.app for content distribution. Disclaimer: I'm one of the founders.

Just wanted to say I really like the landing page. Did you use rellax.js for the scroll effect?

      Hi Trey,

      Thank you for your support.
I will ask @Nazar488 to answer your question.
My main focus is marketing while Nazar does the rest.

Did you host this page before you built your product? I'm curious about the screenshots that you have. Are those illustrations or part of the real product? I'm trying to put out a lead gen page for a product I'm currently working on (the UI is not impressive to post on the landing page at the moment).

That makes sense. I should probably get designs made as well.

When is a release date? :)
