Latest jobs, articles and resources for Remote Designers
I believe that remote design isn’t nearly as well represented as remote development is - I want to help change that.
I'm delighted to announce the release of this. It's been a long time coming but I can finally say the DesignRemotely Community has a home.
It's early days at the moment with a handful of members but I'm looking to market this more over the next week or so.

I'm finally able to announce the release of the Interviews Section of DesignRemotely. This has taken a while to get off the ground but I'm delighted to finally see it live.
I was able to speak to 2 fantastic designers who told me all about their experiences designing remotely.
I hope you enjoy reading :)
This week I released a jobs board feature that provided me with a ton more content to share on my social channels. This pushed me over my 900 subscriber milestone. Woop!
Sharing 2 or 3 jobs a day seems to be bringing in some decent traffic as well 😊 Really happy with the results so far
It's been a busy start to the year but I've finally added a jobs board to compliment DesignRemotely's newsletter!
Here's a list of the new features released today:
• Alistair
This week marks a year since I sent my first DesignRemotely newsletter.
With the help of this community I’ve learned how to grow and optimize my audience. Thank you to all the Indie Hackers for their advice, ideas and support. Here’s to another year!
Announcing the website refresh of designremotely.co brought in some good traffic for me, and in turn some new subscribers. I announced on the following places:
Most traffic came from DesignerNews as I made it as the top story for a few hours and remained on the front page for 3days.
I’ve been working on the new refresh of the Design Remotely website - designremotely.co.
The Goal? To deliver on the feedback I’ve been receiving from my subscribers. Mainly, “can we have a list of Remote Companies that hire designers please?” Yes, you absolutely can!
🎨 Redesign
Feedback welcome as always :)
New Features
🏢 Companies
I’ll be growing this over time as well as taking suggestions. Each company has a profile displaying information about Benefits & Perks, Interview Processes as well as various other company details.
📮 Post a job
You can now post contract jobs to the community that include the length of contract and budgets. There was some confusion around posting a job in the past but hopefully this is much clearer now.
🤝 Advertise
There 3 ways to get exposure on Design Remotely.
I've not had a lot time this month to work on website enhancements 😢 However, the newsletter is ticking over and without too much marketing subscribers are still subscribing 🎉
So surpassing the 300 subscriber milestone feels great considering 😀
Looking forward to finally deploying the following over the next month:
Bring on the next few weeks!
It’s been a busy 2 weeks:
Roll on the rest of the month!
I launched the new site yesterday
Subscribe: designremotely.co
Post a Job: designremotely.co/post-a-job
As well as designers being able to subscribe to the newsletter, there’s now the ability for hiring managers to submit a design job to the community.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated 😀
