It is tough to remember or retain the meaning of a English word you searched some time ago. You have to search the same word again when you see it in article and the cycle goes on. Now we have a solution to your problem.

July 2020 Got first paid customer within 15 min of release

After leaving my chrome extension Dictozo (dictozo.com) free for more than a year and gained 3000+ active users organically I finally decided to make it paid.

I did it last week and it worked. Someone bought the standard plan ( 3$ / month ) within 15 minutes of release.

How did this happen?

The Major reason is the ease and Value my users are getting . Initially, they are allowed to add unlimited words to their list.
I asked for Patreon support but didn't get any much help.

Then I released an email stating that I am going to make it paid, those who have more than 50 saved words in their list, are either going to lose it or they need to buy a plan.

Genuine users who are actually getting benefitted choose to stick with a plan and the fear of losing out did the job.

February 23, 2020 Reached 500+ Active users

I used to google every time i saw a new English word while reading an article. Usually i check the word and forget it afterwards. I need to repeat the process every time even for the same word i checked week ago. So, it gave me a thought why not my browser tell me the definitions of those words. This lead me creating this software.

Dictozo is a chrome browser extension which helps you memorising English words by highlighting them along with their definitions or translations in web pages.

It lets you save definitions and translations of English words, and displays them on every next occurrence on web-pages. It saves your time that you put, while looking for the same word again and again; also enhances your vocabulary.

Dictozo took a slow growth to reach at this number, its been 2 years since I started working on this as a side project. I usually work on it 4-5 days per month. It's a small number but at least i am happy because its all organic.
