Got 10 emails to review a product.

Anna Grigoryan @annadante

I recently got a lot of emails to review a product and tell my opinion on it.

I really like getting new products and reviewing them and want to continue the stream of those emails. Also, I was very surprised that a lot of people found me on linkedin although I had no connection to my linkein profile and sent their product for review there.

Should I have a separate section of that kind of content on my blog? Or should I charge for it?

I guess it depends on your personal stance.

Some people will always see product reviews as paid/marketing posts? I certainly do, but if you make it clear and just write your opinion, good and bad, then maybe it's ok. From an ethical perspective people also might expect for you to declare if it is a paid promotion.

You could try charging for it, but then you'd have to be positive about it 'n' all that. Many products give you free access/trials in return, which could be an option if it is a service you use.

Or you could ask for something in return? A post on their site with a link back to yours?

Interesting, the sponsorship stuff never crossed my mind.

Really liked the idea of asking the reviewed companies to put the link on their website, which should help with creating backlinks. Pretty creative!
