DynaDomains

This whole idea began at a very unique time and sometimes timing is everything. That being said it doesn’t look like this is the right time or fit for DynaDomains. It looks like now we will be packing up and closing shop, maybe to revisit this in the future when the timing is more apt and our idea more refined.

That being said these things happen - they do more often than they succeed.

I learned many lessons and I'm sure many more to come, but the well ran dry and the market didn't want us and they make the rules!

At our highest, we have over $3M worth of domains on our platform, but no lessees to lease them and they didn't seem to want to. With the odds stacked against us - marketing was not working that was the end of the line.

$4K in Ads, 3500 direct emails sent to targeted customers, and....0 sales. So a real slap in the face despite marketing research and otherwise. We didn't account for the economy hurting small businesses as badly as it did back in January but it really had put a big stint in their budgets.

Oh well! onto the next one for another lesson!

Our Google ad launched and has been seeing awesome conversion. On top of that, a well-placed post on the domainer forum namepros.com has enabled some awesome discussion.

Almost overnight we are now managing 2x the domains and have seen 3x user growth.

The goal was 50 domains by the end of May and 30 users. We have blown past that!

Let's keep the pressure on!

As I type i am getting more user notification signup emails as well as domain onboarding requests.

Having lots of domains is paramount before we execute marketing to our paying segment. After all, the customers need something to buy!

After finally finding the right kind of copywriter to attack my landing page I am now able to finally be proud of my site. It's so pretty I decided to show it off to a large segment of my Phase 1 customers.

Looks like it did the trick because only a few hours after the post I got a 20% increase in user signups and a 40% increase in domains onboard!

I have finally decided to take this growth effort seriously. If i want this project to succeed ill need room to breathe and capital to expand.

I have decided to incorporate this business and open up my first seed round aimed for 500K!

Now to find those investors....

Out with the old and in with the new. Out new landing page focuses on more whitespace and succinct wording.

This will hopefully do two things better:

1. Help get out the message to domain owners that we are a great new revenue stream for their digital real estate

2. Help get the message out to businesses who need premium domains that they are no longer out of reach and can now easily fit inside your marketing budget.

This means a lot but now DynaDomains can do the following:

• You can geo-lease domains for a low monthly rate through our marketplace!

• You can view the availability map of any domain in the marketplace

• You can draw your own geo-leasing zone through our application and see what your cost will be!

• Setup and manage your active geo-leases in your account

*This is all in addition to being able to manage your premium domains with DynaDomains!

One day i realized that all the good domains are already taken and the worst part is that most of them are not even in use!

After kicking around ideas and prototypes on what is now the backbone of the proprietary DynaDomains technology I was able get a working product and demo!

I decided to jump into this full force into this product. Launching the landing page and demo!
