Make a newsletter with just your thumb ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Graeme @graeme

The way Letter is designed makes it possible to build newsletters on small screens quite easily. Just the other day, I implemented the responsive layout which was a big move forward for the product. Here I have shared a video of it in action:

I haven't seen many email builders do this very well. It works because, as Marina Huber said in Twitter:

'Newsletter from Links' ( https://twitter.com/SerinnahHuber/status/1194348411715063808 )

  • ๐Ÿ”— Just paste a link to import entire articles - key for mobile
  • โŒจ๏ธ It's a WYSIWYG editor, so natural to type edits

When building a newsletter, you would have to import images, copy and paste links, titles, names etc. However just pasting a link to import the content in one tap removes dozens of steps, so it becomes possible on mobile!

It still needs fine tuning, but I can see it works well. That was my milestone ๐Ÿ˜ƒ, thanks for reading.. I think a lot of mobile experiences are quite broken for software that's traditionally used on desktop - so maybe this highlights that if you can make a product more attractive across devices, it can appeal to more people.
