As we continue to work on delivering the best and most appropriate content to the most appropriate users. Categorising our users into segments based on their interests and skills to deliver the most relevant remote jobs to them has proven useful.

We will continue to make sure we are not putting irrelevant jobs in front of users who simply do not have the necessary skills or experience to apply. Leaving them with job opportunities that contain requirements they feel they can confidently fulfil.

April 6, 2020 Launched RateThisCV.com

Having already launched EmployRemotely.com focused on software developers, we wanted to go the extra mile in an attempt to increase the chances of developers getting employed.

It's important for candidates to present themselves in the best light possible. And in a day and age where the entire world can be the talent pool to pick from it's important for you to stand out, more so than ever.

This is where the idea for RateThisCV.com came from. Under the brand of Employ Remotely we want to provide developers free feedback on their CV from hiring managers in the industry. Giving candidates the opportunity to put their best foot forward. Your CV is often the employers first impression of you, so it's important to get your best qualities across in the best way.

February 1, 2020 Launced EmployRemotely.com

We spent from December to Februrary working around our full time positions as a designer and developer producing a minimum viable product for developers worldwide looking for a 100% remote job.

What we came up with was a way for businesses to post (for free) their developer job ads, categorise them under disciplines (frontend, backend, fullstack, mobile), tag them up with relevant skills and technologies and detail the interviewing process. Encouraging companies to be as transparent as they can be.

This will allow us to surface the most relevant jobs to our users whilst giving them the comfort knowing these were also 100% remote positions, not ones guised as remote positions that required them to be in office X days a week.

December 1, 2019 Came up with the idea

Struggling to find a reliable way to find jobs that suited my skillset, were 100% and had a transparent job spec I came up with the idea to create a product that encouraged this with my Co-Founder, Nick.

We spent the whole of December desiging our idea around the problems we intended to solve for our minimum viable product.
